Do you need to set the iso for this camera?
No, via the DX coding of the fiolm the camera does it itself.
What if you don't see 1 when you wind the film
Then advance the film until you see it. If there is no movement at the frame counter there is maybe a problem with it.
Thanks! I just got one also and need to be restored but work's perfectly
is there a way to fix the shutter squeak on this one? done it on the canon a1 but dont know how to do on this one
I can't tell you.
Hey so I have thay camera and I put the film in and it's saying it's in but it won't take any pics idk what to do :(
Did you pull the film tip all across the camera?
the white leather is gorgeous
I have the same color leatherette on mine! Complemented it with a green camera strap. Great job!
Nice video bro, it helped me a lot
Low price available

thanks for this video! is it normal that I dont see the red "thing" when I remove the Automatic mode?
Have you found a solution ?
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Lo importante está en el interior
I can highly recommend this simple, but highly useful camera for 120 rollfilm. I have it and I used it very often. Yes my major family history was documented using this device. Also my first school travels. I remember.
You saved my day ! Thanks
any chance you're selling these cutout segments? I have an xg1 that needs a bit of exterior love.
Absolutely! The best way to reach me is through Instagram @analoges. Just send me a DM, and we can discuss the details to get your XG1 looking great.
Thanks for the video. Would you be so kind to let us know which kind of products you are using. I made out the weaponoil. Which kind of alcohol do you use? I looked for the lightseal mat but is there some you rely on for future use of this gem of a camera? I do not want to replace it again soon. What was the polish you applied to the surface? Thanks and best Albrecht
I use standard isopropanol alcohol. I use EPDM foam, I got it from eBay from a German seller. No problems until now and its quite cheap. I used normal leather polish from a famous German brand that has a frog as a symbol. As your name is Albrecht, you probably know which brand :) Beste Grüße
Konica lenses are 🔥
Glad to hear that! I actually haven't used Konica lenses yet, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the results I can get with them. 😊

very good video and video quality 👍
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and the quality. Really appreciate the feedback! 😊👍
@@analoges thanks! For the battery section, did you use some sort of extended battery casing or a longer battery in general? My sr44 batteries aren't that long and people say I need two of them not one
Never too many!
Thats true!
I have the Yashica Auto Focus S. I love love a cute pop out flash :)
Yeah thats such a nice feature!
That which
How much thick was the sealing?
2mm
How Can i change the Iso set up in the camera?
@@ilancohen126 i think the camera automatically detects the iso of your Film via the DX-coding
Give me one 👹
Go to my etsy store and buy one

I have the T4 and It was CLA'd. It was modified to use new 1.5v batteries and I replaced the leather with red leather. I found a new old stock power drive works great. I usually have the 40mm 1.8 lens on it.
A nice combination.
My first camera
I found 3 Praktica cams in a junkyard with a hole pack lenses. And dude there is an air pump to make shots from the Distance😊
Vielen Dank!
Suche einfach mal nach: camera lens opening tool
@@analoges Danke! 😉
Do you know the size of the screws on the rewind knob? (30:35). I opened my camera and both fell and got lost =(
Sorry, I really don't know :(
Looks like some sort of alpha 100 for me but made by minolta 😂
Hi, did you use 1mm foam for the main body of the camera in the end? And do you have the measurements for the long thin pieces as well?
I think I used 2mm foam. The measurements are not that exact, it just has to be light tight.
I just purchased an AE-1 with a 35-105mm lense. It's an awesome camera!!
I'm more a fan of 50mm lenses, but that is probably a good lens to work with!
@@analoges I gotcha. It absolutely is! I'm planning on picking up a 50mm at some point.. I'm curious what why you prefer it?
@@datsoon9236 I think it's a good focal length to work with everyday. The 28mm ones are nice too.
@@sirgeorgestobbartjr.9805 okay, I gotcha
Thanks, this was helpful! 👍
I was just asking dose your camera have light seels and dose it need them
The Canonet 28 is about 50 years old and in this time the light seals dissolve. I always put new ones on when I get one.
Nice work! You wouldn't happen to know one or two things about aperture not working, do you? Got my hands on one with standard 50mm F/1.7 lens, but adjusting the aperture doesn't do anything. There's a lever on the lens, and it seems to be in order, but as soon as it's mounted on the camera the aperture is always on full opening. Depth-of-field preview button has some resistance to it when I press it, but nothing actually happens. Any ideas to help, mate? Cheers, Ferdinand
I'm not really into repairing lenses. I hope someone will see your comment and helps you.
I'm writing here in the hope of possibly finding a solution to my problem. I recently got hold of a beautiful Revue 400 SE. Visually, the camera is in top condition and the fact that the slot for the battery compartment is still completely scratch-free indicates to me that it has been used very little. I have shot one roll with it and I immediately fell in love with the results. But unfortunately I was too happy too soon. Without a film loaded, I released the shutter 2-3 times just for fun, and then it happened: The film transport lever suddenly could no longer be cocked, it blocked after a few millimeters. Since then, I have been able to press the shutter release button fully down without it releasing. The aperture opens, the light meter works. I have opened the back of the camera, the film spool can be rotated normally and I don't notice anything else except the little silver button on the bottom for rewinding the film seems to be like half pressed (it won't come out to it's full extend, but i can still press it a little bit) So before I disassemble the camera on my own, here is a call for help for a remote diagnosis. Perhaps someone has a suspicion as to why the camera started to go on strike from one moment to the next - unfortunately I can't find any information about this on the net, even for related models.
Hey I had one of these but I just sold it in my latest vlog! Check it out if you got 60 seconds. Don't worry I still shoot canon. Got an A1 too! lol SUbbed!
Hmm… not necessarily the cheapest
Is it an advance of yashica Diary ?.
Luv the cam as it is much detailed where do one get one
My father use to have one of these back in goa😌
Tips for y'all: it is battery operated shutter priority and there is no manual mode unlike the Minolta Hi-matic 7SII which is often compared to BUT, if you take advantage of the flash mode, you can select from f8 to f22 AT whatever speed you want and this, without needing a battery ! + If you go back to "auto" you can now access to f1.7 which greatly opens opportunities to shoot even without battery ;) I love this little gem
I just got one myself and yes it was a bit of a bummer to find out that it has no manual mode since I heard so many people say it's just like the hi-matic. I shoot a lot in manual and I know old light meters are often not that acurate or lose accuracy so that's something I try to avoid. I have to disagree with what you are saying though. The flash mode is unusable as manual mode since it links aperture to the focus distance. So if the subject is further away you are stuck to shooting wide open. I guess you could calculate what aperture you are shooting at if you know your focus distance but that would be quite a hassle. I hope the lightmeter works otherwise it's just useable as a f1.7 camera that allows only the adjustment of the shutter speed...
@@nenemydog damn you're right my bad i forgot the linkage, and so the induced hyperfocal usage. Actually on 2 positions, first on 56 and second between 56 and auto, focus ring on 5m you're all set from there to infinity Then on 28/14/7 and between, i use them as zone focusing for "proxy" streetphoto using "sunny 16" and gesstimating from 1m to 5m I'm sorry if i'm not explaining right i'm a frenchie and I Hope i brought some clarification
@@shaabaaz3083 Ah, I see. That's actually pretty smart. I will definitely remember this trick for once the battery dies. Thanks! :)
Danke für das Video. Wie dick ist die Dichtung, die Du verwendet hast?
that's what she said.
Hey I have this Mju camera too! Or Sarah, my wife does! Check out the new short I just posted where she shows it off, and please ignore the stuff she says about me kidnapping her. I'm definitely not holding her against her will locked in my film cooler. Subbed! As long as you don't report me to the cops.
From where did you buy the leather replacements? Thank you!
I make them myself. If you are interested text me on Insta: @analoges
Hi! Sick vid. What foam did you use? What thickness is that? Thanks!
I think it was 2mm foam. Just search for EPDM foam or something like that.
what are those numbers under the lens ?
The orange ones
