Hello and welcome to my channel!
My name is Kenya I'm blessed with a regular 9-5. However, I am a homemaker at heart. As much as I would love to work in my home full time, that's just not my reality right now. I invite and encourage you to come along with me on my journey to living a slow yet goal-driven, simple, frugal and plant-based life.

Dollar Tree Haul!
Hello fellow Homemakers at heart! I decided to stop in a Dollar Tree yesterday and share what I purchased! I used to be all about the Dollar Tree. I would visit once a week and buy whatever I wanted. However, since the increase in price and my commitment to stay in budget, I have stepped back from making frivolous hauls. I visit maybe once or twice a month, and only buy what I need (batteries, sandwich bags, etc.) Everything I bought yesterday has an immediate use, except for a gift set that I am putting way for Christmas. Enjoy!

Hello fellow Homemakers at Heart! In this video, I give you the gist of my meal prep for this week. My niece spent the weekend with us, so I spent my entire $200 budget. Drive-thru dinner Friday night was $32 right off of the top! I spent about $40 at Dollar Tree on snacks for the kids, cleaning supplies, nail supplies and miscellaneous items like birthday and index cards. I topped off my gas t...
Groceries and Meal Prep: Trader Joe's and Food Lion

Hello fellow Homemakers at Heart! This week, I had a little extra money and decided to splurge at Trader Joe's See what I picked up from there and our local grocery store to make our meals for this week! Shopping Tip: Convenience foods are often overpriced in the grocery store, but when they marked down or will legitimately save me time, I take advantage of them. This week, four rotisserie leg ...
Groceries and Meal Prep with Me!

Long time, no see fellow Homemakers at Heart! Like you, I'm still trying to balance work and home. I've started grocery shopping Fridays after work. That allows me to stay home Saturday and start meal prep first thing in the morning. I shop with my meals in mind and a list of what I need to purchase. That keeps me focused and helps me avoid impulse buys.

Meal Prep for Me: Slow Cooker White Beans
Переглядів 334 місяці тому
Hello fellow Homemakers at Heart! In this video, I put a batch of white beans into the slow cooker for my dinner this week. Over the course of the week, I'll eat them with cornbread on the side, over tortilla chips for nachos or with a side of green vegetables. Beans are an inexpensive way to provide yourself or your family with a healthy meal. A one-pound bag goes a long way and can be morphed...
Where I've been and this week's meals

Hello fellow Homemakers at Heart! I was exhausted last week! I thought the long weekend would allow me to recoup, but it did not. Still, I'm glad to be back with another video. As grocery prices continue to rise, take advantage of what my mother and I refer to as "yellow tagging" in the meat department. If you are a meat eater or are cooking for meat eaters, you can save a lot of money by purch...

I want to show you how inexpensive and quick budgeting can be. You don't need a fancy budget planner. All you need is a notebook, a pen and a calculator to get started. Your finances will thank you!

Hello fellow Homemakers at Heart! In this video, I make celery, apple and pineapple juice for myself this week. Off camera, I will make carrot-orange juice as well. I froze some extra carrot juice in ice cube trays. I will add them to my insulated cup and pour orange juice over them. As the carrot juice melts, it will mix with the OJ for a nice treat. If I get the ice to juice ratio right, it c...

I like your Video.
You're the MVP❤
I figured I could do this and I came on UA-cam to find someone else with the same mindset. So I will go ahead and implement it . Thank you
Nice haul🙌🏽🙂
Not to much of a hack still have to buy the refill whichever brand but is good to know how to open this sort of..🙂 have to be careful tho make sure whatever you choose is safe keep an eye on the plug point for a while make sure doesn't start to smoke or switch off before you leave
Not sure why you would need to do this though. Dollar tree has the Air Wick refills for $1.25.
@kensmith2796 I don't that's what the lady In the video likes to do

Stop playing with Witchcraft. My Neighbor Keeper🤔
U can put fabrics softener in them to
How does it work and how does it smell!?!?!?!?!?!?!? ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Essential oil has a flash point of around 410°F (210°C), which means it can ignite if it's heated to that temperature and exposed to a flame or spark or left plugged into an outlet too long can cause a fire. USe common sense.
🌽🫘🍅🧂🍲🎉👏🏾 I know the house is smelling really good with the Crock-Pot and the oatmeal cooking❤
Didn't know dollar tree had fragrance oil❤
It works I've done this for years.😊
Is also saves money😊
Very nice video. Thank you🌹

I'm so glad that you're back and everything is okay. I was almost starting to worry🙏🏽🫶🏾 thank you for sharing another inspirational positive video❤
Thanks for this money saving hack! 💜
That's how I did it years ago, but I eventually got a cup warmer and put FO in a cup on that or wax melts that I made myself in the cup on the cup warmer.

@@homemakeratheart9443 I will.
If you break your nails prying open that container, there went your savings on a manicure. Nice tip though!🙋🏾
LOL Good point!
Yea I’ve definitely tried this before with essential oils and it worked great❤❤
Thank you for watching and for your comment! Good to know!
I don’t use the cheap ones
Well well done. Smart
Thank you!
We bought a dollarstore/poundshop one years ago, loved the cherry/strawberry smell and so cheap just kept buying them, then one day one leaked down the socket and the wall, it stripped the paint better than any chemical paint stripper i have bought... made me wonder about my lungs so stopped buying, but if i can buy and then refill with something safer then it would be good. suggestions please!
OMG, you remind me so much of my older sister we're 4 yrs apart. She, too, is an educator. You guys are the best. I'm a former electrician, and a lot of my friends are married to teachers/educators as well❤
Wow! Thank you! I appreciate your support and I'm glad that I remind you of your sister. That's positive and made me smile!
It works, been doing it for years.
Thank you for the confirmation! I appreciate that and I'm sure other viewers do too!
🍎🥒🥬🥙 we had to shop around because my wife said that hummus was a little bit more pricier these days😢
Yes, hummus can be pricey. I usually buy from Aldi. They offer a decent selection of flavors, and the price is reasonable. Also, check out BOGO sales for hummus. Sometimes, buying one item is half off.
🍊🍵 peach cobbler oatmeal that sounds so good😊
Try the recipe! LOL It's easy to make, only takes about 10 minutes. Let me know what you think.
I Love this Channel it's a part of my daily bread 🍞waking up to positive vibes💯❤️🔥🍳🫶🏾❤️🙏🏽

Just wow, sea salt dry roast pistachio 🔊 sounds 👂🏾🫶🏾👂🏾amazing😮❤
They are delicious! I prefer pistachios in the shell, so I can crack them open. LOL For cooking, though, these are great.
