I'm from NYC and have had my fair share of donuts across America and Canada and can confirm that Bread Ahead have the best donuts I have ever tried. Key reason being they are very light, fresh, fluffy and not too sweet. It's the first donut that I've said this isn't overly sweet at all. It's more like a cream puff than a donut. The filling is like whip cream instead of custard. Just a perfect airy donut with just the perfect amount of sweetness that doesn't make you feel like you're eating a heavy, rich and sickly sweet donut like you would get in America.
