Lower Bell Lake – M8 Tracker Tune

Theme: Underwater City

Musical comments:
I started this by writing the chords and the melody with keyboard + recorder, so a lot of the work on this piece was actually practising the recorder part. It is no virtuosic by any stretch, but it is quite chromatic, and I'm not exactly a pro...
Some other details:
* The "drums" are me taping the holes and keys of the recorder.
* There's a slightly mangles sample of a small drum spinning on the floor playing in the background most of the track.
* The basic musical motifs I used here are the ones I generally use in the music I compose for Bell Lake (see below). You can find older pieces for Bell Lake here: eladhen.bandcamp.com/album/lo-criti-bell-lake
* I'm very pleased with the counter melody Starting at 2:30 or thereabout.
Background:
Bell Lake is the fictional city in an actual play podcast I co-host (This means we record ourselves playing tabletop roleplaying games, and develop the world and its stories as we go. It is also in Hebrew, so probably not for most here...).
Bell Lake is a bustling industrial city, full of invention, class strife and... spirits! The world is full of them. Some look at them as devils, others as gods, others as friends, but no one can ignore them.
As of late, our fictional world is in the midst of a world war, of which the citizens of Bell Lake are seeking refuge under the waves of their lake. The great lake spirit Friend Tim, has granted the city entrance to his underwater city, and work is in full swing enlarging the underwater city.
Up in the city, the refugee/immigrant River People are in full-on rebellion, locking down the city with strikes because they have not been granted visas to the underwater city.
In our story, actually taking our main plot into the underwater city is very close, so I knew I wanted to compose a theme for the underwater city. Here it is!

Yeah, the M8 is modeled after LSDJ. And it's really great!
Got mine on Tuesday. Don’t listen to people that say it’s hard to use. I’ve never used LSDJ. Just Polyend Tracker.
@@lebronsinclair8012 lsdj isn't difficult itself. It's quite intuitive and very powerful. It can crank some amazing stuff from the old gameboy.

באיזה תוכנת ציור אתה משתמש?
הווידאו כבר עתיק, אבל השתמשתי שם בתכנת הציור Krita. תכנה מדהימה שמאז הווידאו הזה התפתחה מאוד ואפילו יותר טובה. הלוח הגרפי, אגב, עוד עובד מדהים אחרי כמעט ארבע שנים (כאמור, עלה לי בזמנו כ־200 ש"ח).

המצחיק הוא שזאת הקלטה מלפני שנתיים. היום רציתי להקליט את זה יותר טוב אז חיפשתי את זה וגילית שהעליתי את הווידאו אך השארתי אותו לא גלוי. אז היום פרסמתי אותו... לגבי הקבוצה - תצרף אותי. מי שחבר בה זה היוזר השני שלי.

אני רכשתי בדיל אקסטרים. אותו הלוח (שעלה כמאתיים ש"ח) עדיין משרת אותי נאמנה, כבר שלוש שנים.
אבל איפה זה צולם וכמה ס"מ נערמו ?
נצרת עילית. 2015 (כפי שכתוב). נערם ממש טיפה.
רכשתי את ה1060pro+ האם ניתן להגדיר את הלוח עבור משתמשים שמאליים?
אני גם שמאלי. ממה שהבנתי, בגרסאות האחרונות של הדרייברים שלהם ניתן להגדיר היפוך של הלוח לשמאליים (כאמור, זה מתוך הפרסומים שלהם על הדגם שלי. אני לא מכיר את הדגם שקנית). אישית אני משתמש בזה בצורה הימנית ומסתדר לא רע. זה אומר שאני משתמש בכפתורים עם יד שמאל וזה קצת מפריע לזרם העבודה, אבל לא היה לי כוח להתעסק עם זה, ואני משתמש בהרבה קיצורי מקלדת ביד ימין אז נראה לי שזה מסתדר בסדר בסה"כ. אני כן יכול לומר אחרי כמעט שנה של שימוש בלוח שהוא מעולה.
שיר חזק, הלחנתי אותו קצת אחרי שיצא ספרה הראשון של יודית, לפי כ-5 שנים. תמיד מוזר לשמוע לחן אחר לשיר, מוזמן לשמוע את שלי: ua-cam.com/video/LR4NcNLufJA/v-deo.html

אני משתמש בקריטה. תוכנת אופן סורס מאוד נחמדה. פוטושופ לא בליגה שלי מבחינת המחיר כמשתמש חובב. krita.org
