Correct hai but is question mein static ya dynamic jaisa kuch pucha nhi hai examiner ne agar puche to 20 N answer hoga agar kuch mention na kre to Jo answer hai usi pe tick krna answer key mein bhi yehi answer Diya tha DSSSB ne
Also friction force ki value static condition mein applied force se jyada ho sakti hai tabhi to vo body ko move nhi krne de rha usko overcome krne ke liye humko applied force jyada lgana padega

why did you divide it by 8 and not by 12 lines?
We need to divide in to even number of parts.You can divide into 12 parts also.Bcoz 8 parts are sufficient to get a curve thats why I divide into 8 parts
