Gorgeous. I saw this ensemble twice in person: It was on display at the MET for the Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & the Catholic Imagination exhibition as well as in 2023 in Brooklyn for the "Thierry Mugler: Couturissime" exhibit. Wonderful piece to experience in person.

Azzedine Alaia had a store in Soho, NYC, in the early 90s, and I remember seeing a lot of beautiful garments. But his leather and suede suits, coats, and waist cincher belts, with 1 hole, were some of the most exquisite pieces a person could own. P.s. I had the pleasure of meeting, and chatting with Mr. Alaia, who was very kind and signed his autograph for me.
