Got a little bit of your bf under your nose.🤣
This explains a lot! LOL!
Haha
Why don't you support freedom and the convoy? You are an authoritarian fascist, Stephen. We will be free.
Great video!
Whatever happened to this guy?
Fantastic Review! In 12min I feel like I understood how this game plays, feels and how much strategy is involved. Your calm voice and the no-fluff-straight-to-the-point approach was really helpful. Thank you!
Is there anywhere to find a copy of this game nowadays?
I recently ordered Samurai Game Labs' Zombie High School Card Game, I would love to see a tutorial / review on that.
1st.
I think you have an error at 5:35+. The blue player uses the navegador's bonus sailing action, but then does not take a normal action. After using the bonus sailing action, the blue player should have taken a normal rondel action before the yellow player's turn.
Igot this for $12 CAD on black friday, cant wait to play :D
Thank you for making this video. I like checking a video review before purchase and you made a very thorough one.
Thank you for making this video! It's nice and concise so I can send your link to others so they can get the the overview in advance to learn how to play. I would love to see your complete game Play thru for Last Will.
I don't understand the 'pushing up or down' at the market
Colonies go down, and use the box they are in. Factories go up and use the far right in all cases. You may manipulate all three collunns in a single market action. However: you may not use both colonies and factories on a single column.
Thank you for the review. The authors of the game have tried to address the mentioned issue in the next editions of the game called "Potion-making: University course" and "Potion-making: Guild of Alchemists". Now you have like two decks of cards and three-step turns, but the basic idea remains the same.
this looks very similar to evolution the other board game, did it get inspired from that?
And Martian Rails, I've never played that one, though. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002JPKPQS/ref=s9_dcbhz_bw_g21_i2_sh
Actually, they do have a space train game. It's called Lunar Rails. www.amazon.com/Mayfair-Games-MFG4600-Lunar-Rails/dp/B0006HCVZE
Great! Bravo!!!!
Fantastic video! You explained this game in half the time of the top video explaining this game! It was more a full explanation than a review, which I consider a huge bonus, so I think your title is doing you a disservice! Thanks again for the great explanation, I'll be looking for your name next time I want to see how a game is played!
Funnily enough, you were the only reviewer who mentioned how difficult this game was to explain to a newbie but you did a fantastic job explaining it! I watched both Rahdo's video (and I think most of his reviews are fantastic) and the Dice Tower one and still didn't grok how the game worked until I saw your overview! Now I can finally buy into the hype and get my own copy :)
Thanks for the video! I've been looking at this game for a while and just got a great deal on it. Can't wait to play it!
I believe it you "flee" the zombie remains in the hoard for the next player.
If you like space exploration euro-games have you tried Eclipse Yet?
No waffle. Clear thoughts and explanations. A great review.. Thanks.
You should play arctic scavengers
The best review of this game out there
Hey, this is Mike, Jess's friend. I didn't know you was a youtuber! Cool! Love the review. Was think of getting this game after trying the app on my iPad. Maybe I missed something. What's with the oven mitt?
I got those oven mitts like 20 years ago. Thought I'd learn to cook one day....nope....
Spent an hour and a half trying this out with a friend today. It's a great idea, but the rules are horrible. We spent as much time searching boardgamegeek.com FAQ for explanations we did playing. It has great potential, but the rules need to be fleshed out. Thanks for the review. It helps.
Since posting this, he rules have been rewritten and the game flow improved. EVOLUTION is now quite popular in local gaming circles.
Nice review, thanks for making it! Really considering buying this game now.
Cool review. Are you planning on getting the expansion coming out on January?
11:22 Slight error. The game rules state that when entering an unexplored territory you must leave at least one ship there at the end of your turn. So you would need at least three ships to enter Nagasaki. Great video :)
Seen this played today, very strange card game.
After watching other vids looks like I was wrong
Quick edit on my last post.... Jack does not start his moves on Roman numeral 2. Think you all will understand. Cheers
I believe you played the Jack character incorrectly. The hour tracker tracks the time of the murder but Jack still only has 15 moves after the murder hence the reason for the move tracker. After the murder you should have started your move count on the number the #1 space on the move track not the Roman numeral I on the hour track. Makes no sense to go back in time nor should it give Jack an advantage to wait so long to claim the victim. Correct me if I am wrong. I am playing the revised edition. Thanks for a great vid. Much appreciated.
We tried to play this drunk... NEVER happened. Instructions were way to complicated. This made it way easier to understand.
thank you a lot
Just got the game in the mail and this review was helpful in getting the rules clear in my head.. :)
Thanks for the review. Our group loves dungeon lords but we plan to play petz tonight. Looks like a lot of fun.
I think you have done an extremely good job explaining the game in short. It saves time to going through the complex rules - Love it
The game doesn't state that the aliens are "evil." : )
i loved this game because you're CONSTANTLY having to change up your strategy, and when you HAVE to like play four cards....you have to think about what four cards you're going to play so you don't hurt yourself too bad. i just think it's a game that makes you always check yourself because if you don't pay attention you could just totally screw yourself over with all the different card effects.
I picked this up recently, partially because of your review. I'm excited to play it tonight.
loved the impartiality of this review, masterpiece! I pretty much feel the same about fluxx untill u add booze and friends, than its the best game ever! I cannot be played when the mind set is for a complex board game, but when u r in the middle of a get together with friends, where we all want to shut off our brains and laught, this is where fluxx shines!
For the most part, I agree. 'More, more, more' works great for the producer, but not for the gamer/buyer. I rarely buy expansions - however, I have come around lately. So many bad games are being made, that buying new stuff is often a waste of money. The problem for me is that there are VERY few games that appeal to me over many replays. I could play Agricola all day long, but after beating Defenders of the Realm the first time, I have not played it again.
This is the way I feel about Ticket to Ride, although I did like it at first. Don't apologize for not liking a game and saying so. Honesty is vital for a good review.
The game mechanic of enclosing spaces reminds me of the ultimate abstract game: Baduk in Korea or Go in japan.
