In this video, we cover Day 1 and Day 2 of our adventure, filled with scenic routes, thrilling wildlife experiences, and a touch of history:
🚙 Day 1:
We kicked off our trip early at 5 AM, taking the beautiful route via Ulundurpet, Salem, Ooty, and Gudalur.
After a delicious breakfast at Vikravandi, we enjoyed the serene greenery along the way.
Passing through the Mettupalayam checkpost, we admired their eco-friendly plastic ban initiative.
Though Ooty greeted us with heavy traffic instead of chill weather, we had a fun drive, eventually staying overnight in Gudalur.
🐅 Day 2:
The day began with an early morning visit to Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, where we hopped on a thrilling safari! While we couldn’t spot a tiger, we enjoyed the sight of graceful deer and vibrant peacocks.
We also explored the Theppakadu Elephant Camp, where we saw Raghu, the star of the Academy Award-winning documentary The Elephant Whisperers.
Post-safari, we continued to Wayanad and trekked to the iconic Edakkal Caves, known for their ancient carvings and breathtaking views.
Our day ended at a serene hilltop tent stay, surrounded by stunning natural beauty - the perfect end to an adventurous day.
