How did the series “forget” about elemental jutsu and you bring up points throughout the story where elemental jutsu are being used? There are also plenty of instances throughout the show where the characters have abilities that aren’t simply just rock, water, lightning, etc. for example konan and her paper jutsu, deidara and his clay bombs, kakazu and his hardening techniques and being able to have multiple hearts, even the other big clans in of the leaf village have there own thing that pivots from the simple nature releases

I think Oda kept the Scabbards alive so that Wano would still have a reliable defensive force after the battle concluded. If it was just Yamato, Momo, Kin and Otama, we don't have a lot of allies to call back on. With regards to Orochi. Everybody hates Orochi and wanted less of him from the first minute. Oda chose the Hydra fruit on purpose. Orochi is supposed to be that grimy stain that simply refuses to wash out. That scum on your shoe that wont scrape off. He had no redeeming qualities, and no particular strengths, but still manages to stick around and cause misery despite his lamentable existence. For some, the anime pacing would have made Orochi all the worse, but he served his purpose as a character

Wano was hyped up for a very long time but recently the story has turned to be more of a Luffy focused story I get the fact that he is the main Character and all other stuff but we truly missed out on many back stories such as Kaido,Zoro and Ryuma the characters who were basically carrying the whole hype of Wano. Don't get me wrong Gear 5 was very cool but Ussop, Chooper , Brook and Franky should have got some sort of upgrade the would help in the future of the entire series .

Imo Oda handled characters better in dressrosa, in Wano they were just numbers. I only liked Yasuie and his death scene was actually sad.

Fair argument

Imo I feel like the scabbards were pretty well developed within odens backstory; we learn about why they're devoted to oden and they're all pretty unique in their own right. Now my problem with Wano Is the fact that Oda couldn't let the characters die like Kinemon should've died, Kiku should've died, etc. Because it feels like a wasted plot point oda spent how many chapters detailing on how the sccabards were willing to die for oden and give there lifes away for him but in the end they all survive. Like its hard to feel anything for these characters when we know there not risking anything cause oda's not trying to kill them off. Furthermore the fact we didn't get a in depth Kaido backstory or more information on Zoro's family is a let down imo. I feel like all though Zoro had all these cool moments and times where you could say he developed his character didn't change like a Sanji in WCI, Nami After arlong park or even Robin after enies lobby. He feels the same with a new sword which is disappointing and Zoro as character still feels unfinished. And for Kaido's backstory... im just astounded like when are we going to learn more about him??? It made luffy's victory feel less rewarding because we Still know NOTHING about him. But the arc was still amazing as the good outweighs the bad in my opinion quite easily. Currently im under the assumption that when the story is done and we do get that kaido backstory wano well be more appreciated because the things we missed out on this arc well hopefully be covered in the later ones.

To be honest yes it was a whole bunch of characters but it was a whole fucking country fighting for freedom of 20 years of oppression. Yeah we could had done with less people but wouldn't have had the same impact on how every little social thing happened for

I think orochi could have worked if they had shown him as a kid living an ok life and then his father or mother was revealed to be part of the family everyone hate and then even his friends turned on him and killed his parents. Like the evil dictator that could have been avoided. Now we have doflamingo without the charisma. And with no reason to be evil asside from because we said so

I wouldn't say that.i mean compared to the time irl of wano the characters just mostly suck. I mean in Skype skypedia there are 2 regular citizens that we know and care about and they're ok, And all the many conflict between the native and sky people's have time to simmer. But most of all we hate Enel. Honestly asside from the 2 little girl I couldn't care less from all the citizen of want since even those two girls are shown to be exceptional nice compared to the rest of the citizen that just suck. The conflict amongst the scabbard is pointless drama. Momo is very unlikable, the country doesn't look good to live in and the citizen deserve it. But most importantly nobody hate kaido. I get he's supposed to be like a force of nature villain but slime did a better job in that role. Kaido just doesn't produce the same animosity than Enel, or the dragon s or are as personal as arlong. And time wise the number of characters introduced is not that different
