How do I side chain multiple instruments to the kick? It seems like I can only side chain one thing

Two small tips: 1. the higher the Base-knob in the Peak-section of the Peak Controller, the lower the channel-volume (I copied the value of the volume-slider, subtracted this value from 1 and inserted this into the base-knob) 2. you can control how deep the volume-slider is taken down by playing around with the volume-knob in the Peak-section of the Peak Controller; you can create lighter or heavier side chains by modifying it

The sidechain drops the volume down of the melody (in this case) when the kick falls (also in this case). This helps a lot to give more atention to the kick and gives a good flow to the song. I'm pretty sure that someone already answered this, but just in case anyone was wondering.

@JumpenAlexH94 the fruity peak controller reduces the volume of the bass every time the kick is playing so the bass is not overwhelming the kick. This affects that you don't need to turn up the volume of the kick so it comes to a distortion.

Really it's just an input monitoring an output. It's commonly used on radio shows when the host wants to talk into the mic. When they begin speaking the volume of the music is automatically "lowered" so that another sound (in this case the speakers voice) can come through in the mix. This is called Side-chaining. Also I noticed in the video he left the inverted mapping formula as 1. This causes the volume level to exceed 0db, thus distorting it. Formula should be set to inverted 0.8. Thanks
