Worlds of words part 3: I am that I am
In this short video I discuss the idea of divine reflection as the onset of creation. I use the divine name 'I am that I am', God's answer to Moses when the latter asks for His name, as the foundation. Topics that come up in this talk are Krishnamurti's vertical and horizontal thought, advaitic non-dualism, and Sefer Yetsirah, the Book of Creation.

Worlds of words part 2 , the tablets, tables of Non-Violence
Переглядів 142 місяці тому
This second talk in the series Worlds of words is about the Tables, the biblical tablets on which the ten commandments were written. The talk concentrates on the kabbalistic interaction with words, their numerical source, and that source's Freedom, Non-Violence. I explain, without going into the text of the ten commandments, how the word for the tables itself, luchot, already contains the spiri...
World of words part 1, the Truth
Переглядів 369 місяців тому
In this series of talks I am sharing kabbalistic insights about singular words. This first talk is about the Hebrew word for truth, emet, אמת. I explain how this word indicates an Ultimate Truth, not an opinion, and how this is related to both mystical death and the bundle of life.
The Tree of Life part 3
Переглядів 22Рік тому
In this third part of the series about the kabbalistic Tree of Life, I am talking about the second sefirah Chokhmah, Wisdom, and the 4-lettered Name, the Tetragrammaton. I am explaining more about the multi-dimensional aspect of the Tetragrammaton, its four pronunciations and the four kabbalistic worlds that are the result of these. Other topics are the esoteric name Ehuyeh, and, of course, num...
When a mystic counts from 1 to 10
Переглядів 153Рік тому
In this talk I am explaining how the ten first numbers, in Kabbalah the ten divine emanations, the ten sefirot, are all a natural consequence of each other. I discuss how each number is implied in the one preceding it, also using examples from Hinduism to clarify these facets of the Path of Numbers. A big part of this talk deals with the two most important divine names, the Tetragrammaton and t...

In this second part of my talks about the Tree of Life I am explaining the reason for the two names of the first sefirah of this kabbalistic Tree. I am discussing the name used in later Kabbalah, Keter, the Crown, and the original name Machshavah, Thought. As part of this topic I am also addressing the kabbalistic division into higher Thought and lower thought, the kabbalistic tendency to bypas...

The Tree of Life part 1
Переглядів 44Рік тому
This is the first of a series of talks about the kabbalistic Tree of Life. Also known as the Tree of Sefirot, this conglomeration of ten divine emanations, called the sefirot, only became widely known in Kabbalah with the advent of the Book of Splendour, the Zohar. In this talk I discuss the background of this Tree, both biblically and kabbalistically, including the connection with the 'living ...
The Feminine Essence of Creation
Переглядів 140Рік тому
In this video I am discussing the concept of creation being entirely feminine from the perspective of Hinduism, Kabbalah, and the Christian mystic Meister Eckhart. I touch upon Shakti, the androgynous creator deity Elohim, the two sefirot, divine emanations, Binah and Malkhut, also called the Mother and the Daughter, and conclude with Eckhart's comments about spiritual virginity.
Spiritual Anarchy

This is the first of a short series in which I read from my own work. The articles I am reading have been published in my short story compilation Bat-tesha the Blind. This article deals with the topic of spiritual anarchy in the context of Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. I discuss the practical kabbalist Abraham Abulafia, the mystical Messiah Sabbetai Zwi, Meister Eckhart, and Zen.

Thank you Eric for sharing! Question: how does one go about "deconstructing that which limits our life experiences"

    • @TheContemporaryKabbalist
      @TheContemporaryKabbalist Рік тому

Thanks for your interest Byrals. Sorry it wasn't part 2 of The Tree of Life- that will follow next! As to the deconstruction: it begins with observing our thoughts without identifying with them. This leads us from interacting with life on a basis of 'good and bad' to a basis of 'true and falls'. One has to have a real, urgent, intent to do so, since it entails the end not just of what we don't like, but also of what we like. Ie: a thorough and.complete alteration of who we are. 🙏

Shalom! Thank you for revealing the Light to all of us through this talk that you filmed and generously shared with the Human Family via UA-cam! Your explanations of the Scholars and other not-so-known Kabbalists, as well as your mention of ancient and contemporary Kabbalistic Roots and Branches, as well as literary works, most of which are almost unavailable in languages other than Hebrew and Aramaic, were all these formidable considerations you offered us. Todah rabah! Moreh Eric, I will be sharing this video in hope that the seeds of your blessed kavanot may find fertile soil in hearts other than mine. You know how advanced, or better not advanced, I am in my Kabbalah studies and practices. I follow some guidelines from other teachers who speak my mother tongue and, in particular, instructions from a solicitous and kind Morah who guides me more towards perceiving Kabbalah as a more universal and intuitive reception, as she does not want people to find so many limits of access to Kabbalistic knowledge and practices, since most of her students feel unfamiliar with the more orthodox rites and many customs more rooted in the Jewish religious tradition. This journey through numbers has already been reported by other teachers to my poor or not mature ideas. As I have not been literate in the Hebrew language so far, it seems to me that it is an important path for me to better consider and review my life as a whole, in order to accomplish my basic Tikkun process in time and then maybe I still have merits and any opportunities to reach some level of understanding of my most suitable path within the vast field of Kabbalah studies and practices available today. May your Lev Tov, Moreh Eric, touch even more receptive souls to your wisdom and your living legacy! Brachot! Amen ve Amen! ☺ 🙏

Shalom Diego, and thank you for your interesting response..I am happy to hear that you have found a teacher who emphasizes the wider implications of Kabbalah. It is indeed a field that is accessible in many ways. As you heard in my talk, my own entry has been from outside of the Jewish context. It all depends on your disposition and dedication/kavvanah. It sounds like you are very dedicated yourself. If you ever feel you would like a perspective that might be different from that of your current teacher/guide, feel free to contact me. The powers at hand are mind-blowing and witnessing them is honoring Life itself. Be well, my friend, and thank you for watching! 🙏🌻🙏
