HA ha- I used to drive as fast as I could go like an arrow right through the middle of road bends of single lane two opposite way traffic mountain highway road so that I could get maximum distance with minimum tyre turnings (and also minimum petrol burning) as the car was old, not big, not powerful and I still managed to overtake the big and swanky speedsters. Had a few near miss calls from heaven while looking back from the steering to wave angry fists at other cars- but this is how the drive looked like to me , with just the addition of driving half the time in the wrong incoming traffic side (sometimes it looked like an airliner crossing marked lanes to go to the take off lane) - great remembrances. What fun it was 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's kinda eerie that UK motorways are always full of cars, especially slow ones. Maybe population density makes it? Maybe relatively industrialized economy? Maybe amount of lanes (which encourage middle-hoggers not to use left lanes)? Maybe low speed limit (70 mph everywhere is ridiculous, some stretches deserve 80 mph)? Maybe all of them?

Well, I am 75 now and when I was 4 and 1/2 Years old onwards until I was 13 years old, I used to visit during summer and at Christmas my grandparents in Tisis. They lived at Toebeleweg No4 until the Ganal factory closed down and our shopping was mostly done in Schaanwald, as Feldkirch was just too far to walk. I recognised some houses were I visited the children to play with are still there. I call Australia, Queensland home this days, but I had a great time while visiting the "Laendle" and I had to swap every year how I talked from Viennese (Wienerisch) where my parents lived to Reto Romanisch (Vorarlbergerele). Back in Vienna, I had to hear quite often: Why are you talking so funny? But one person did not mind that, my same age girl friend Erika as she came from Dornbirn. Her family moved to Vienna when she was 5 years old. She was more like my "adopted" sister, the sister I never had. We lost eventually sight of one another
