I have 9 tank we have 2 aquarium coop air pumps that have battery backup the 2 tube ubit is like $35. Just have them set up and running asbthe primary i have a hyger battery backup 6 tube air pump as the primary in our fish room $79 money well spent

I have both but my 2 blues are fighting bad yet only around 2 inch in size need to split them up my electric blue are more peaceful

I prefer the Blue Acaras. I have a “ Show Quality Female “ with some really nice blue/ green sparkles all over the body. I also have 2 Trinidad strain Wild Blue Acaras as well, the Male Trin Strain and my show quality bred and laid eggs but unfortunately it was in a community 75 gal and the eggs disappeared

Beautiful ! The electric blue is dazzzling, i've no beef with hybridization but its like everything else in this earth system mankind can tamper too much with the natural run of things. When i was a boy seeing the koi goldfish first time was a Wow moment because of the coloration, now today science has manipulated the koi gene and it's become a common sight across the fishkeeping world in many species of fish, is that a good thing? I'm not too sure about that -

Is the neon blue acara the same as the electric blue acara

i am looking for the wild type. ones i see on line are even darker than the one you have which makes the colors really pop. someone said they are from trinidad.

Eba isn't a hybrid just a different color variation of the same species

I started with EBA and was hooked. I just got half inch hybrid fry of the EBA and BA, so far they are looking more wild type but already have blue spangling. To answer your question I had to get a mix of the two, and the Electric blue. Your severum looks gorgeous next to them!

Guess what, even though the id shark looks much like an actual shark, the stingray is more closely related to sharks.

The regular one for me! When the colour up and display, they can go almost completely charcoal in colour. It makes their blue face speckles and orange fin pattern really pop. Peaceful as well if not spawning and agreat alternative to something like a green terror.

Regular blue ! I’m so pissed … my lfs was selling electric blue acaras under the name blue acaras so I bought one but I just realized what I bought ! Ah well . Thanks for the video brother

Nice tank. I have an iridescent shark I named Elvis. It looks like that one, probably about 8 or 9 inches long, is 17 years old (January 2023 will mark 8 years since my friend gave it away to me, he said it was 10 when he gave it to me).

I just prefer natural looking fish rather than the ultra colourful false looking man made variety stuff that's being bred everywhere nowdays. That also goes for any of the Electric blue varieties of Cichlids for me

Nice fish my brotha and I don't have to tell you that Boesemani Rainbows are addictive. I agree that this fish is the closest fresh water fish to a saltwater fish in regards to color display. it's one of the reason why I bought my little juvie heard of 13 (2) inch beauties. I hope all is well with your fish and that you were able to find more. Mine came from Lake Aytinjo. They are expensive and hard to find, but worth every penny. 😁
