Seadoo gti130 bilge pump install

2015 seadoo gti 130. The pump, hose kit, and switch were all ordered from Amazon. The pump is a 750 gallon per hour pump 12 volt. The pump has an internal float which seemed easier to Me then the pumps with an external float.

Replacing the old hand grips on my gti 130. The process is the same for most seadoo models. I used 130mm lock on mountain bike grips.

I had a light tapping sound that I could not find. Finally found it in the clutch primary. Here is a quick video to show you where the noise comes from and how to solve it.

Chase riding his dvx90 2 stroke. We had just put on a 24mm carb and koso intake with Kevlar reeds. Ran great until he went through this puddle, foam air filter got soaked and engine died. Wrung out filter, started back up and ran all day.

A body could put a little rubber grommet on it also would probably work
U Tha MAN! Great job..Tnx.RD
I thought had same prob he did this and now wont shift
Couple questions. 1) washer on nut side only? 2) do you crank down the nut tight or should the bolt spin? Any torque spec? Thanks!!!!
I did my washers on the nut side only. The bolt does not need to be able to spin. The weight just needs to be able to swing freely on the bolt. I do not have a torque spec for the bolts. I just did mine hand tight. They are small diameter so not too tight. I could find a spec on the web anywhere for them.
@@boblavoie335i ok so if I tighten it up and it’s still loose after one washer, I should add a second washer because we want it fairly tight.
@@freshmaker5 yes. You want no end to end play in the bolt.
Good one
This maybe the issue with the ryker also. Seems like with a washer potentially when things get hot maybe the weight aren't going to swing out as easy.
Interesting, I get a clanking clanging sound on deacceleration/braking - really hope the washer fix is the silver bullet -will report back
That’s usually gear slap in the transfer case and diffs. Nothing you can do with that part.
Did it work
Thanks!! Was just inspecting my primary on 2008 Outlander 800, was looking for this noise and stumbled across your video, huge thanks!! Cheers.
Your welcome, glad it helped
I put the washers in. Bolts no longer move. Clutch still makes the same noise......anything else I can check?
I have a question about my 2020 450 outlander, I had to take it apart and clean up the primary clutch because it was caked in dirt and mud and wasn't moving. So I cleaned everything up. My rollers and caps look fine. But when I try to put the cup back inside the clutch itself it has alot of resistance like it needs to be forced back down into place. Now I seen another guy on here show the cleaning process, and he was able to take it apart and put it back together fairly easy. I'm not sure how its supposed to be because this is my first time doing a clutch system. I'm new to this, and the quad has only like 40 hrs on it. It was serviced like last month before I got it from the dealership. But obviously I took it through water and mud and it got all up inside it.
Something isn’t right. It should go back together with no resistance at all. It needs to be able to move freely. It’s hard to tell without me seeing it what’s going on.
@@boblavoie335i I got it figured out it had alot of build up on the sides so I had sand em a little now it slides easy in and out. Now when I put that bearing back in with the two small springs I just grease it up right? Do you grease the whole shaft or just where that bearing slides in the back? With the torque for primary clutch it doesn't have be angled right? You just need to make sure it's torqued at 74ft pounds
I just purchased a 2021 Outlander last week and had this same noise from the very first ride. I took it back to the dealership and they said that's just how these clutch stystems sound. There's no reason an $8500 machine should sound like it has a loose bolt clankin around! They kept saying, nothings loose, nothings loose but the noise sounds just like that bolt you pointed out going back and forth making a clanking sound. I dont know what to do at this point. They said it may get better once the belt is broken in. I dont see that happening but we will see I guess. This video was very helpful, thank you!
I did this mod and it did nothing to help. I believe it's the rollers that the weights ride against. They are the only things I have left with play in them that I can't adjust. I took the primary apart and took those little bolts out. I put a slight bend in the thin washers on the inside to get rid of play in the weights moving side to side, as well as adding the washers on the bolt like this guy did. I still have the rattling can sound and it pisses me off. I've got a 450dps but all these clutches look exactly the same. I can't believe there aren't more videos about it considering can am's shitty techs think it's normal. I don't know what options are left because to me all that's left is design flaw. Can am is lazy. My first atv, $9300 and I hate it.
They said "It sounds to me like this lady just doesnt like the sound of this bike" like im stupid or something and dont know what one should sound like! I dont know it all but I know it shouldn't sound like that! They also said if I would have gotten a bigger bike then I wouldnt hear it as much because the shield is thicker and more insolated. Im like thats some dumb feedback right there! Yeah lets just mask the noise! smh
@@amyhowle761 they lied about everything. The shield is the same material and size up to the 1000 as far as I can tell. It also gets hot as hell while riding. This company and all their dealers and techs are shit. I'll never buy another can am as long as I live. No brand new vehicle or machine of any kind should sound like a fkn dryer full of aluminum cans when you run it. That's what I call mine.. the 'aluminum can-am'
Great observation! Got my 800 apart and I will b checking preemptively .
Same issue on my 12 Outlander 1000. Ill be picking up some washers next trip in town. Thanks
I snorkel mine and it will sputter like it not getting Air
Kayd Roll you have to change the carb jet as stated in the video. The original carb jet is too lean once it’s snorkeled.
Very nice! when i'll receive my 2020 in couple o'days, i'll fix it right away. Damn, i could even sell it for more!
Why wouldn’t they tell you what the problem was??? Instead they wanted to sell you something else. They know damn well what and where these noises come from my X3 is obnoxiously loud clunks brand new 1500 miles on it
I hope the video helps.
Exactly!! I had a POS "canned spam" and that was the last one I ever own. Absolutely hated the bike and the belt driven system!!
Thanks for the help man!
Absolutely!
I think its a 6 washer , right?
I have the same problem, there is no problem that it breaks ?
Jonathan VISNEUX I’m not sure what you mean. I did this to both of mine a few years ago and have had no further issues at all. If you have any more questions just let me know.
Sorry i am french and i dont speak very well english. I have an outlander400 and i have the same problem i Want to do like you but i would like to know if it IS possible or no tout break the clutch with the washer ?
Jonathan VISNEUX it will not effect anything else. The clutch should be the same. It will not cause any other problems.
Did you have to use after market jets
I did, but I do to remember what size I went up to.
Well just solved it all
Glad it helped
thanks for video man God bless..why are mechanics so dumb as a mechanic i am working on one the first time and would know this damn no common sense i think it the immunization shots we get as children lol but just may be a bit of truth.i miss my manual transmission i hate cvt passionately
Good info, most can-ams have this noise, never pin-pointed it myself. Although the stock weights are not aluminum, they are sintered steel.
Thanks for the correction on the material the weights are made, didnt know that.
HAve you got top speed with 25" tires?
Just a washer
Simple
Hi ,i`m curious whats the milage of Your bike? ,how fast has it worn out than ;-)great video
Both of my renegades had the same issue and both have about 200 hours on them.
too bad can-am cant figure that out.they just keep making them them the same way
I know, love the machine. Had to do this to both of my renegades.
I know this is an old post but you probably already figured this out but I snorkeled mine and you have to run the carburetor breather the break breather the differential breather and the carb overflow all the way up to the snorkel not just the two breathers.
Dose anyone have a problem with a Honda recon 250 when u backup in water it stalls. Any ideas on what it could be ?
is already has trouble with the amount of compression being in the water but when you back up all that does is force water into the exhaust
1.5 inch abs into the airbox?
thanks
how did you get the vent hoses to run that far up?
you have to buy extra hose the size is 5/32 and conectors.
I have this noise as well can i have my machine to can am so they can fix it or do i have to do it myself
+grinning virus81 I did it myself. It doesn't take very much mechanical skills or knowledge at all to do it. If you follow the video I think you'll be fine.
Did you have to mess with the carb to get it to run good or no adjustment
Spencer Peters I did go up to a 110 main jet, that was the the only thing I changed.
Bob Lavoie where did you get the jet
I got mine from our local Honda dealer. You could likely get one on eBay as well.
To turn those tires better use a dyno jet kit and a hmf exhaust system. If you dont want the muffler to be loud the pipe itself comes with quiet core insert and you can take it out.A k&n air filter works good.Check out my vids if you dont mind.
Nice shot. Nice buck. Proud of you bud.
can you tell me the exact rims you have? i have been looking for those kind for about a month.
They are ITP SS 112 wheels. I bought them as a kit from www.moto4less.com It used ITP mud lite tires with 25x8 in the front and 25x10 in the back.
thankss a lot man
What did u use to waterproof the tubes?
Most of the pipes I used regular plumbing pipe glue with primer. I did use two rubber bellows to join some of the sections together. When you clamp the rubber bellows to the pipe it is water tight. I have it in a creek to about the gas tank and had not a drop of water inside the air box.
will it work for a 250 2wd recon?
Yes is will. The recon in this video is a 250 2wd. I dont think they ever made a recon any other way.
