I battled a 20CM cancerous STS tumor. Odds were stacked against me. This spine chilling, deep, song could have easily been written for me. I conquered this cruel disease at over 7 years disease free. It's a very humbling experience. Every day is a gift. Love this song forever!

So sad billions of dollars send to foreign countries, but this corrupt government can’t help the people they tried to murder. But we have people in this government trying to pay reparations to the blacks ????? If there is any nation deserving reparations it’s the indigenous people this government try to kill this is genocide not only back in the 1800 Today and we all don’t do nothing. Makes me sick to my stomach and I’m only 35% indigenous the nation needs to rise up one more time

Hay, this just breaks my heart. I was a beaten as a child and no family members stood up for me. The Rez is still labeled as a prison camp. I now live in a 800,000 home that I worked for and what I don't understand is why nobody will just walk away and earn what they want?

I would like you to know that when I was having a difficult time, one of your Tribal members and I talked for a long time. We had donations, food, toys, clothes from newborn to adults, toilet paper, pots, pans, sewing items, dishes, jewelry, etc. My heart cries for my people in all the Americas. Also, my friend ( non native) was a nurse give them all a nurse's check up. She passed away some years ago. Rip lorrie. God bless native America

There was a legal process that Lakotas and other Tribes had legal rights to Water from the Missouri River and the Government created water channels like rivers from the Missouri River to Pine Ridge and other Tribal Reservations. I think the project was called "Mini Wachoni?" Who is in charge ai Pine Ridge to look that up?

The thunderheart movie of the early 1990s do you guy's remember the surprise ending scene! The very brave Lakota sioux indian people surrounded the BIA police and the FBI agents in the badlands stronghold! About the American indian movement of the 1970's. This is our forgotten war actually happened during the great depression of April 17th to the 20th April 1931. I Have plans to write a book about this very sad tragic story! On the northern part of the crow creek sioux indian reservation of south central SD along the beautiful Missouri River half a mile northwest of stephan SD. A very terrible land dispute of the northern rancher with his work hands against a poor inccent large encampment of over forty to sixty hunkpati Dakota sioux people were still definitely living on the Cheney rush encampment site. On the morning of the brutal massacre! The men left for a hunting trip on the other side of the reservation. Leaving their entire families an young pregnant ladies to watch over the Cheney rush encampment site. In a long narrow valley just below the hilly prairie land country along the beautiful Missouri River. Later a large party of over fifty well armed white civilians intruders arrived with guns and rifles very unannounced very much looking for terrible trouble some violence! In their own word's leave emittedly! They would Emmittly kill everyone there! playing along the misssoui river the young children heard also saw an witness the very sad tragedy unfold there! Many years later they told the story well crying and wept of the very shocking brutal Cheney rush unspeakable massacre site, the second sand creek massacre site of 1864! T the American civilians would later buried the dead Dakota sioux Indian bodies north of the long narrow valley the small rolling hill on the left side [ the secret mass grave site is still there today. ] The children want told everyone on the reservation what happened to their own poor innocent murdered Dakota sioux Indian people! The men also heard the lose their families their hearts were completely broken! Two days later they would gather a number of over two hundred very brave sioux indian warriors! Iron Nation's, kul wicasa oyate Lakota sioux Indian warriors may have assisted in the very fierce fighting thats gonna eventually happen! The American civilians were setting up a camp site with a well cooked meal along the shores of the beautiful Missouri River. When someone ran an told they would be facing a huge massive large numbers of enemy warriors coming towards them from a great distance away! The prairie land country is the place were the American civilians intruders made their great fighting battlefield stand! When the moment actually happened! Bullets flying from all sides horses hooves made a very grand of ever rising dust clouds in the very fierce fighting battlefield scene began! Many deaths on sides the surviving wounded American civilians intruder would separate into two groups and one party would escape to the western hill top over looking the long narrow valley! The main conspirators killers were hidden along the shores beautiful Missouri River. Serounded in all sides by the sioux Indian warriors! The other group on the western hill top would make their escape to the reservation border lands will being chase by the very brave sioux indian warriors then stopping at the border lands in case they come back? The battlefield siege was taking to long! Someone ask for the BIA tribal police involvement to stop the very fierce fighting battlefield scene! The tribal police help it actually took the next day to get the main conspirators killers to surrender and be taken to custody! The reservation tribal people, who were there give a victory warriors song for the poor lost innocent murdered lives at the brutal Cheney rush massacre site! Someone from our reservation would take camera pictures of the massacre site! The American civilians conspirators killers had a court case of a American judge an jury, who would only give them six to eight months prison time sentences! A very ingrave injustice for our poor inccent murdered Dakota sioux Indian people! The secret mass grave site is still there today along the highway to capital of Pierre SD seen along the beautiful Missouri River the small rolling hill over looking the long narrow valley. As a great resistance for our native American indigenous people of north America! This very sad forgotten tragic story happened five years after the osage indian murders in Oklahoma over oil rights violations! Our last great victory story is about our proud sioux indian warrior people still definitely living on their reservation homelands during the early spring time of 1931! Have a great fabulous wonderful day.😀

I am an Indigenous woman from Canada. I just hate seeing stories from our First Nations peoples. I supported their school by purchasing books for the school. Later I sponsered a couple of grand mothers who were raising their grand children. If I can do this, we all can do this. Where would our world be then?

You can contact the tribal council leaders, if you google Pine Ridge you’ll find it. You can set up a go fund me account and then start sharing via social media. That’s what we did in Ireland. We collected 3 million Euros in donations and sent it to the Navajo nation and Choctaw nation.

These Great people had everything taken from them , then they tried to wile them out , but ha! They did nt succeed , so they put them on land that was suppose to be theirs only ,and then try to take this also ! I pray that one day soon that the Navajo , Oglagla , Cherokee , Cree , Comanche ,and everyone i left out rise and become one and take back their Land ! That would be a Huge part of America . For it was their Land that the white man took and will always be ! All my Respect to these Great People ,❤

Yes! I also pray that the land is given back to the original inhabitants - the dinosaurs! Before the Sioux etc. the dinosaurs roamed freely without interference from anything. Then the Sabertooth Tigers came, the Mastodon's roamed free - then the buffalo and crocodiles birds and bees......then 20,000 years ago humans invaded what is now North America and started wreaking havoc! get rid of all the humans.........the insects were here first!

And ignoring the others in Your Tribe. Your People. Currently, your child welfare workers are reporting just two weeks ago. In November of 23. 150 children were without winter coats. 4x the National number of teen suicide. Men die at about 57… women at 52.

I met Sting with it is if love!! music, dance, joy of living!! As I studied the lyrics of his songs, I found a man who, through his music, was looking for himself! and I found a sad man, very sensitive and very empathetic. He plays with his moments of joy, which serve to disorient him with the pain he carries! Maybe I'm making a transfer!!

As for Wounded Knee... Unfortunately, not many people know that the Lakotas and the Poles have a very similar history here. The difference is that the estimated number of victims at Wounded Knee is 350, while 60,000 Poles were murdered.... The level of cruelty is unimaginable. My ancestors were murdered twice, once physically and through cruel torture, and the second time through oblivion. This abhorrent crime was committed by UKRAINIANS, who are now being allowed into my country en masse. Check out the "Volyn massacre" for yourself. Read how disgusting way ukrainians murdered Poles, look at photos (if you can, it takes courage).
