    Great video. Looks peaceful and relaxing. Keep em coming! The videos w/the Gazelle is really making me consider getting one. I'd be interested in seeing an interior setup review w/it. Ex: What type of sleep configuration you use (air mattrees/sleep pad/etc) and any gadgets that make the interior comfy when relaxing or needing shelter from rain. My biggest concern though is how it holds up during moderate/heavy/overnight rains. Are you able to have any of the windows cracked when raining to get air/ventilation? What is the risk level of water/bugs coming in through the velco floor?

    If cracking into a mason jar - how long do they typically last?

    • @exploringparks
      @exploringparks 4 місяці тому

      I would be comfortable using them in 2 (maybe 3) days. Apparently the whites store a few days longer after cracked than the yolks, so you might consider doing just egg whites if you need it to last more than 3 days.

    I would strongly recommend to use breast milk bags to transport eggs to a camping trip, This have a more secure closure than regular zip bags and the interior comes prepared to receive breast milk so they come sterilized reducing the likelihood of bacteria growth, after that you can freeze them so no worries at all.

    I have the T3 and T4 hub tents . Both are bombproof. I had the T4 set up without staking it in when a serious storm with ground-level cross winds came through and the tent was not bothered. I recommend running a bead of clear silicone around the top of the inner velcro otherwise you will wake up to an infestation of ants and other bugs. Before doing so run a 6 way outlet through the right side and silicone it in place permanently. I put mine on the right side about a third of the way back so that i can access any electronics and also keep remotes etc in the right side pouch. Also, seal the eyebolts where they pass through fabric. They did leak in both tents before sealing, Use tent seam seal around the fabric surrounding the eyebolts. I bought a 13-foot line of USB led lights that i wound around the interior tent poles throughout the entire tent. I use a power bank to run them and they work great at lighting up the tents plus they change colors, strobe and other effects.When setting up tent only pull out 2 sides then put on all of the rain fly before pulling out the other 2 sides then step inside and pop up the center .. Pull out sides nice and easy while stepping on the bottom fabric at the grommet. Do the same when taking it down. --Pop 2 sides in then pop top-down from outside then take rain fly off then pop the last 2 sides in and remember to wrap up tight with velcro straps before putting it in carry bag ...Use a magic marker to mark a spot where you want tent positioned whenever setting it up . I marked a F (for Front)on the upper right corner so that as I start to set up the tent I look for the F and spin the tent so that that side of the tent is where I like it . I am right-handed so i prefer a door to be positioned on the right side when set up..Ps If you ever break a tent pole I think Tractor Supply store has some fiberglass poles that are the same or similar size. They don't sell them as tent poles but i think they are the same size.

    We're going to be taking eggs camping for the first time, so I was wondering how people store their eggs - never thought about cracking them first! We were thinking of trying to vacuum seal the whole carton full of eggs and storing it on top of the ice in our cooler. But now I think we might try an insulated cooler bag with ice packs - because I don't have a way to reseal the vacuum bag after I open it the first day. I didn't know about the shells being permeable - useful info.
