Socially distance yourself from toxic people
Переглядів 113День тому
You wouldn’t sit down next to somebody who is coughing and hacking, and clearly very ill. So why are you inviting mentally unhealthy people into your life. Unlike the common cold or flu, which will put you down for a week or two; a toxic persons dysfunction can permeate all areas of your life and the damage that they do can last for years and in some cases even a lifetime
When friendly teasing goes too far
Переглядів 7714 днів тому
Well-intentioned teasing is a way for men and boys to show affection and bond with one another. It can bring a group closer together. There are passive aggressive people who will use the dynamic of male bonding and teasing to cut others down and maligned them. sometimes it can be hard to discern between friendly, good-natured, teasing and somebody making a fool of you. Today we are going to ...
Man caves are for losers
Переглядів 1,3 тис.21 день тому
The term “man cave” was originally coined in John Gray’s 1992 book “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.” The concept was men and women have very different communication styles and MARRIED men needed their own space to get away. The most common space being used for this purpose is the garage or basement.
The backhanded compliment
Переглядів 42Місяць тому
A backhanded compliment is an insult disguised as a compliment. These types of comments are a favorite of passive aggressive’s and other manipulators that seek to undermine or diminish their target without having to assume responsibility for their words. Here are a few ideas and some advice on how to navigate these turbulent waters and deal with these difficult people
Time (will not always be on your side)
Переглядів 83Місяць тому
At some point, we are all going to reach the age where we realize that we probably have more road behind us than ahead of us. Time is the one commodity that we cannot save, buy, or get more of. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. So use your time wisely, and don’t get sucked into the countless traps that rob you of your joy, purpose or life.
3 Rules for life

I’ve come up with three simple, basic rules to cover 95% of situation that we are going to face in life
They’ll get over it. Don’t fall for emotional manipulation.
Переглядів 89Місяць тому
We’ve all been around that person who seems to always be sulking or using some sort of childish antics in order to get attention or special treatment. Sitting there with a long look on their face hoping somebody notices. Maybe it’s time we start to expect these people to act like adults rather than over grown children
Men should drive. Here’s why.
Переглядів 1212 місяці тому
If you would like to be respected as a strong, masculine traditional man, by the women in your life then you are going to need to start acting like it. One of those things is driving the vehicle. This has nothing to do with who is a better driver, who likes to drive, who has a nicer car, this is about chivalry and tradition. Before operating any motor vehicle make sure that you are properly l...
Beware of the comfort of conformity

Conformity is a part of life whether we like it or not. It’s the glue that keeps society together. But there is a downside to being overly focused on fitting in and being accepted. And that downside is the loss of your self.
It’s not what I’ve done (for them) that’s important……it’s what I would have done.

My father had a great saying when it came to users, takers, and people who failed to show gratitude or reciprocation. My father understood that he couldn’t take back his generosity and goodwill. But what he could do is not make that same mistake a second time. And while it may seem to be a small consolation, there was a lot of wisdom in his words “it’s not what I’ve done for them that’s impo...
Just kidding usually follows a poke in the eye

Have you ever noticed the words “just kidding” usually follows a comment that’s designed to poke you in the eye or make you feel insecure. It’s time that we call these people out for what they really are, and we take action against the sort of behavior.
The person who cares the least has the most power

The person who cares the least in a relationship has the most power. This is known in sociology as the principle of least interest. In simplest terms, the person who is least invested can most easily walk away, so how do you pursue dating without coming off is trying to hard or investing too much.
Time blindness isn’t real

Sorry, you’re wrong. Store’s lose money at self check out due to increased theft and stores like Walmart are removing self check out because of it. Adding that you work at $5.00 jobs destroys your resume, not help it. The logic of your video doesn’t add up !!!

I hate self checkout. If I have a cart full of groceries, it's going to take me a good amount of time to ring them all up and bag them. Meanwhile, the grocery store's prices just keep going up, so I'm paying more while also doing THEIR job. When I was growing up in the 90's, I remember our grocery stores had cashiers and also seperate people who would bag the groceries. Then, the stores got rid of the baggers which really slowed the checkout lines down but the stores were saving money by not employing baggers. Now, it's no cashiers and the stores are still saving money because they're making their customers do the store's job. It's bullshit and we should all refuse to work for free.

I use self check out because sick of waiting in line when person doing the check out is talking to people instead of doing their job. pay with cash so if they make a mistake and get something cheaper no credit card to track you down with.

I don't know why you yanks continuously cry about paying someone $15 p/hour... In Australia, the minimum wage is $25 p/hour and we do just fine. No extra burden on small businesses, it's all just factored into the business model/s... Maybe that's the problem with you lot, it's simply too hard (for you) to factor in expenses, either that or business owners are such tight arses, when they fart ONLY dogs can hear them!

I love my Mancave in my garage. It has separate climate control. It also houses some of my toys. Including my guitars and amps. Three motorcycles that I enjoy working on. I change my own oil. And A 52 inch big screen with a 5:1 speaker system so me and my other depraved buddies can crank it up. And occasionally my wife will come out and change the oil in her ATV. She will also come with me to the hanger and help change the oil in our Mooney M20J. I have an office and a workout room in the house. What are you going on about?

This is isnt about man caves being for losers. This is about losers not taking charge of their lives. My man cave is the biggest room in the house with new tile and paint a beautiful Bay window and a completely seperate HVAC system just for that room. Additionally the garage is MINE and only mine. The only things stored in MY garage are my bikes, my tools and my projects. Other family members cars may come into MY garage to be worked on if they are clean and if it is convenient for me. And yes, the rest of the house is also mine because I pay for it but luckily, Im willing to share. Who exactly are these , unskilled, spineless, so-called-men you are talking about? I always heard these weaklings existed but I've never actually seen one.

Makes a good point. if you are married, half the house is yours to enjoy. If you have a nice room in the house to yourself thats one thing, but you shouldn't be cast off to the garage or basement.

My dad had has a man cave. It's in the basement. He bought a nice TV for it and a new couch. He basically turned it into a 2nd living room. It was great when I grew up for me and my friends too. The basement also had a nice half bathroom. It does not have to be a crappy garage or ugly basement corner. Sometimes one person wants to watch something and others want to watch something else. I think you are over thinking the man cave. Having one TV to share with a house hold with several people sucks. A "mancave" can be great.

Let me add fuel to the fire. How many middle income husbands work 50 plus hours per week so the wife can have a fancy luxury SUV while they themselves drive a 15 year old jalipy to work. We are just livestock to pull the plow then get locked into a stall to fill our gobs with hay.

Ha, ha, ha! Nope! I have an etire spare bedroom that is used for: guitars/studio, watch making, 3d printing, working on and storing firearms. The garage is my home machine shop where a lathe, mill, grinders, shop tools, etc are stored and used. And, yeah. The garage is climate controlled, too! That's the benefit of two income earners having six figure incomes and an understanding wife.

Man caves are so stupid. It implies “be a man somewhere else where I can’t see you.” So you can’t be a man anywhere else. Used to be a garage or basement had tools that men used to fix the house & car. Hunt & fish. No more of this man cave bs. Have a den. Be a man.
