Drum track is a real sample of awesome Phil Rudd playing. I tried to play riffs that sound like AC/DC. This was a covid-19 challenge at finnish guitar nerd forum.

This is difficult! Great solo by Marty Friedman. For most of my students this is too difficult in original tempo. However it’s possible to practise different parts of the solo and analyse it’s harmony vs chords.

Robben Ford style 12-bar blues solo improvisation in Bb. Metronome beats on two and four. Roland Bluescube-amp. Recorded with ipad. Can you hear the chord changes? I play chord tones for the first beat of the bar. Third and seventh works the best if you want to play the changes. For example: Chord Bb, play D (third); Chord Eb, play Db (seventh). Try it and enjoy!

Professional guitarist and guitar teacher. Gear: Fender telecaster with Mikki House pickups Roland BC-30 BluesCube. Guitar slightly out of tune, but the feeling was good so i let it pass ;) Pick and two fingers again. Notice how i use pick only downward to get very raw sound.

Sounds like AC/DC Nice
Koponen! Kyllä lähtee. Ja bendit aina vaan just kohilleen!
Kiitti Sakke!!
From your first lick i knew it was a killer SOLO
Thanks man!
Veikeä! Banjo rolleja kiwa soitella.
Mistä ton taustanuhan saa?
Love the phrasing and rythmic motives... Any advice to practice this? I wsnt to get this phrasing and I dont know exactly what to practice...
Andoni Diaz Hi! Try playing 16’th notes in groups of four accenting different notes. Exp.accent only first note, accent first and fourth note. Mix with 8’th note triplet. Try to play triplet very laidback. Hope this helps!
Huippua!
Certainly facial expressions that I've never seen before during a performance of White Christmas. : )
Nice sound, nice game.
yes, I like that Tone of it! sweet axe..nice find!
like your playing!
I had classes with you in 2000/2001 I think... Pop and Jazz Konservatorio Helsinkin/FINLAND!! cheers!!
Näitkö unta tuosta kitarasta?
Cool...
This is so great. What scales/arpeggios did you mostly use?
Christopher Lindén Thanks! I used mostly mixolydian and minor pentatonic scales with chromatic passing tones. Key of Bb. Mixolydian for each chord (Bb-mix,Eb-mix and F-mix) Also altered scale on fift degree.
Into Koponen Thanks alot man! I relly enjoy your playing and I will try to use those scale etc. I'm practising a Bb-blues right now for an upcoming jamgig so thank you!
if there was a guitar face contest this would be a contender
You moved the camera but I can still see her.. lol Seriously I really like your playing spot on!
what the hell I subbed !
Thanks man!
Sweet Jam !!
Noticed also your Britney poster :)
She makes me smile every day :)
Bending a minor 3'rd 1/4 step up makes you sound very sad/painful. B.B. King does it perfect. Be careful. If you bend too much you will sound out of tune.
Notice the use of chromatic passing tones and rhythmic motives.
Pay attention to the rhythmic complexity. Rhythm comes first, harmony comes second. Scales used: Minor pentatonic/blues scale, Dorian scale, Jazz minor scale.
I use pick and two fingers of my right hand to get the sound. Notice the use of open strings. Mainly 16'th notes, but the use of triplets makes it more interesting. Start practicing over just one chord.
Notice laidback rhythm, dynamics, rhythm variation, story telling, solo development.
