    I do appreciate what you have offered here in this video, thank you. I have a 2005 International IC CE300 school bus, My problem is this safety interlock system?? How do you bypass it completely?? Its a pain 😢 I figit with back door, then itll start, sometimes it will not. I have pulled the relay out so it will not come up on the dash anymore. And those 2 seleniods are expendable i see too. just trying to get to the bottom of this.

      Allison 2000s built in the second half of 2006 or later can be re-flashed to enable 6th. Prior to that, they need a valve body upgrade before they can be re-flashed.

      @@nicksevers07 my understanding is the 2500 has same reflash requirements as 2000 series, just has to be new enough to already have the upgraded valve body from factory or you have to do it first.

    Nice touch to your compartments. Great video. How are those compartments mounted to the bus? There wasn't any mention of bolts in the roof of the boxes, so curiosity remains.

    • @thetslabus
      @thetslabus Рік тому

      The boxes were factory installed. This bus was an activity / field trip bus so came equipped with the storage boxes, larger fuel tank, beefier transmission, etc. All I did in this video was re-finish them with the truck bed liner. Best I can tell there is a pretty extensive framing around the entire box, similar to the fuel tank although not quite as beefy. Thanks for watching!

    Great find and video! I just picked up a 2011 CE200 12 window and am excited about the journey ahead in converting it into a seasonal motorhome for my family. I have a few questions that I hope you can address. What size are the undercarriage storage compartments? Can you share further on how to "unlock" the 6th gear overdrive - this ability sounds great! I am wanting to get some powerful LED lights on a switch as replacements for the front upper marker lights too. What did you end up choosing for these? I look forward to following your build!

    • @thetslabus
      @thetslabus Рік тому

      Congrats on your bus but I worry about your drivetrain. A 2011 CE200 is most likely the Maxxforce 7, one of the most unpopular engines out there. I wish you best luck though! I'm not sure on the storage boxes for dimensions, I'd have to measure but off the top of my head each one is roughly 3 feet long, and about 18 inches deep and tall. Thanks for watching and I'll have new videos soon. Been a crazy busy summer which I'll talk about in my next video :)

    • @thetslabus

      The only lights I've replaced so far are the rear brake and turn lamps. I got those off Amazon. Eventually I'll swap out the clearance lamps as well. For the sides I'll change out the whole fixture to an LED unit, either from Amazon or my local truck supply shop called Sadler Power Train. The front and rear center clearance lamps I'll just swap out the bulbs and leave the fixture as-is since those fixtures are more "embedded" into the body than the side markers which are more external. For changing out the red/amber "8-way flashers" I used the same brake/turn lamps on the back. The front ones will be white flood lights. For now I just have some cheap Amazon reverse lamps (same as the brake/turn (only in white) but I'm continuing to shop for a better solution. Those are OK but not quite bright enough for my intended purpose.

      I sent it off to Express Transport (Charlie Ball). For a fee, he reprogrammed it and shipped it back. The Allison 2000 can be unlocked if built after mid-year 2006 I believe. Prior to that it would require some additional hardware to be installed in the transmission itself in addition to reprogramming.
