Wild Embers

I love outdoor adventures, so most of my content pertains to hiking and beautiful scenery!
Hidden Critter Visits
Deep inside a slot cave, the group critter expert treated us to the little resident members hiding within the wet darkness. He was very protective of the animals and ensured they were carefully handled and always placed back where he found them. This is their natural habitat and where they belong. We resisted the temptation to bring any home, and we were careful not to distrust the rocks on the floor where we know they hide. Protecting their safety was our priority.

Fiery Gizzard Waterfall 3 miles from Trailhead
Переглядів 193 місяці тому
This slightly off-trail (you can hear it from the trail) waterfall is just 3 miles from the trailhead. After making this video a viewer informed me it’s called “Gizzard Cascade” which I have now confirmed.

Lovely Off-Trail Waterfall in Cherokee National Forest
Переглядів 274 місяці тому
This is about 1/2 of a mile off-trail, but it’s a very very slow 1/2-mile through dense brush. Once you’re there, you have a gorgeous oasis all to yourselves. It’s the ideal kind of waterfall that you can walk to.

Good night from Sunset Rock in Chattanooga, TN
I was there a couple months ago it was the greatest yet most life changing experience in 14 and it finally got me over my fear of heights
Is this swimmable. West Virginia? Nice videos ☀️🌈🤙🏾🦅🕊️
@@plutojaysworld thank you very much!! This is in Tennessee.
@@wildembers9715 nice place
I’ve been informed this “waterfall” is called Gizzard Cascade.
What was the answer though? For the letters
I would LOVE to tell you, but as a teacher, the best I can do is to help you understand the skill. Good luck!
4:38 that looks familiar..
What a lovely video of one of my favorite spots. I've been many times, but never in Autumn. I've been missing out! Love the leaves on the stream and the stunning colors!
Thank you VERY much! It was my only time. The off-trail waterfalls are often my favorite because, for the extra work, you generally get them all to yourselves.
Cool! Couldn’t really see where the cables hooked to land. Is this a 24 hour a day ferry ? What was the charge to ride ? Thank you. Neat video
It’s FREE!!!! It’s open every day 6 am until 9:55 pm.
The cables are difficult to see even in person. It took some of us several minutes to see them even after they were pointed out to us.
Been there.
Way back in the 1980s I drove down there on two separate occasions just to see that ferry. I didn’t take it across the Green River though. I was in the area for Mammoth Cave and the tours. You’ve almost made me feel like I took the ferry ride! That’s pretty cool.
Thanks! It’s a fun little ride! The person who organized the day excursions surprised us all with this. None of knew it even existed until we got to it.
I’m now a 6th grader and we get to go to the new school next month
That’s exciting!!!!! It’s beautiful now!
I go to school with her and turns out we don’t go till next year
@@Drakebbcthethird that’s way too bad! This has been your one and only chance to be in middle school. Hope this year is better!
Scam ass video 🖕
Fucking scam ass video💀💀
GOD BLESS
Where is this located at
Very nice! Great video. Y'all did stuff I haven't done there, but there IS a way to the base of the Lower Falls. IDK if they've ever constructed an official trail to the bottom, but I've been to the base two or three times. It has been too long. I should go back.
I plan to hike up the creek to the base this summer when the waters are lower. We attempted that last fall, but we started too late in the day and had to turn around about 3/4 of a mile on the creekbed because it was too dark. Is that what you did?
And thank you!
@wildembers9715 no. We followed the bluff line out from the area between the upper and lower falls then went down a drainage . I wouldn't be able to do it at present owing to my knees needing replaced. Maybe after that is over
@@Cumberlandgal1964 no kidding!!!! That’s cool! Good luck with the knee recovery! Glad you don’t plan to let it slow you down.
This is nada tunnel road, ridge is actually on top of the Tunnel
Was this in your backyard?
Yes, it WAS!!
please play all the answers plz thx 🙏 it’s already been 4 years
The footage is fantastic, capturing the beauty of the waterfall perfectly. Thanks for sharing this wonderful view, my friend! 👍🚁🌊
Another fine look at a waterfall that I need to see. You have been going to so many that I'm going to have to start writing them down! ..lol.. It kind of resembles Northrup Falls at Colditz Cove State Natural Area. Thanks once again for bringing another gorgeous waterfall to us. Take care!
Cool❤
Thank you!!!
I am learning these are Everywhere in the southwest
I guess that’s why they’re just out in the elements without protection. It seems like this would have gates around it and charge admission In order to preserve them from damage. But if they’re all over, that wouldn’t be such a big deal.
@@wildembers9715 They survived the wild west but not modern 'civilized" society.. Trash and graffiti in the back country is on the rise..
Awesome detailed look at Machine Falls! I’m going to Google it and find out where this is at and what else is in the area. Thanks! I may have a road trip coming…
Thank you very much! I seem not know when I’ve got comments, so I miss them. I m going to try to be diligent about this. I sincerely value your feedback!!! If you go, I’d love to know your thoughts! It can get pretty busy here, so it’s best to try to go during slow times. We had it to ourselves, because it was raining! I love rain, so it was a double win!!
Awesome look at this falls. Very, very good! I've been meaning to get down there but just never have. Thanks for the look. Take care!
You are most welcome!!!!! There are a lot of waterfalls in Savage Gulf, and each once has its own unique qualities.
Beautiful place! Good job editing the video, thanks for sharing!!
Thank you very much!!! I haven’t been seeing when I get comments, so I apologize for the delay! I appreciate your feedback!
So awesome!! Thank you.
You’re most welcome!
How long did it take you for the round trip?
Spectacular fall colors and views. It sure makes me think back to some days a few months back when I was enjoying the colors on my outings. Great memories you've brought back. Thanks for this. Take care and stay safe!
Thank you!!!!!
Such a great hike! Beautiful vid, thank you!!!
This is a rider-controlled alpine coaster with 4 uplifts, tunnels & illuminated nighttime rides. Rocky Top Mountain Coaster has over 9 minutes of twists, turns, and tunnels.
Thank you!!!!!
Awesome!
Very beautiful landscapes and the waterfalls are so spectacular, maybe not so much water? In any case it's a wonderful hike, I'm sure you did enjoy so much, Thanks for sharing, good job!
Thank you very much! We’ve had a dry spring and summer, so water is especially low. I’m really glad you enjoyed it.
Laurel Falls is spectacular! As usual, you showed it from all angles possible. Just stunning. Your sense of adventure led you to the top where you discovered the two cascades. That's awesome. Really nice video Wild Embers. I sure enjoyed it.
Wow, it's HUGE, you may feel so little in this immensity. Very nice video, the landscape is unbelievable. A big like and new sub to support you. Thanks for sharing!!
I always enjoy your videos Wild Embers. Was wondering why you hadn't uploaded any, but you've been sitting on these for a while! Pogue Creek is an awesome place. It's hard to show everything! The features there come at you non-stop. I have to get back there myself. Thank you for this. Take care and stay healthy!
Baffles the mind being there in it!
Just a beautiful video Wild Embers. Somehow you showed the huge bluff in a grand fashion. And you got the Killdeer! Perfect!
Thank you very much!!!! It’s hard to capture such massive landforms! I appreciate this.
I am very familiar with Big South Fork and have never been here. It's a gorgeous sight to say the least. Thank you for showing this. It's also great to see another video from Wild Embers. We've missed you!
Such a majestic landscape!
Hi! I'd forgotten just how beautiful this hike was. Thanks again for your vid.
This is the first good look I've ever seen of Red Rocks except for some concert footage at the amphitheater... Nice. Thanks, Wild Embers.

Hi! Is this Honey Creek?
What a magical place! Great vid!
Thank you!!!
I once watched a rabbit back up to a large maple tree to ride out a pretty severe thunderstorm. It sat on the opposite side away from the wind. I thought that was pretty neat. When the storm was gone the rabbit went back to doing what rabbits do, hopping around and munching on plants.
I guess the thunderstorm was a minor interruption. We people have softened since we were active hunter/gatherers. Lol
Ice has a beauty all its own. You just showed us that... From the long pointy lines of icicles hanging from the ledges to the to the random patterns of water, freezing soon after falling from above. They're all gorgeous. Sometimes I wonder how the trains fit through those cuts! There couldn't have been much room to spare. I live pretty close to the road leading to the O&W Bridge. Sometimes I drive there just to stand on the bridge watch and listen to the river rushing underneath. A very soothing experience for the heart and soul!
Such beautiful waterfalls! Again, your vid does an excellent job of portraying the complete experience. Thank you.👍
Big South Fork will never, ever disappoint Wild Embers... and neither do you! You capture the most detailed shots that can be imagined. The details and colors in the ceiling of Devils Cave are proof of that. There are many more examples in this video but I rest my case based on this one... The rutted trails up there are horse trails and are a mess any time of the year. Those homemade signs bring some extra character to the area don't they? You guys got the brilliant blue winter sky! I relish that sky when I get out in the winter. Usually it's gloomy when I get out this time of the year... Really nice video Wild Embers! Just like Big South Fork, they never disappoint!
