Jetler is short for Jesse Truett Hufstetler. That's my name. I make music instead of watching TV or playing video games, it's like a hobby for me. You can check out my music here or buy it/stream it on Spotify/iTunes/whatever.

Some guy told me to do this and I did it because not many internet people tell me to make songs and I had nothing going on this afternoon and I didn't think that the stupid thing would take me two hours... MP3: drive.google.com/file/d/1RVmCLpKoNUAK9p2w6wrknZKXGH0pYdJC/view?usp=sharing

Umbrella (Laffey Music, Ember Island, Jetler, Rihanna)

I was working on a remix of Ember Island's cover of "Umbrella" by Rihanna, and I stumbled upon the song "Umbrella" from Laffey Music. Wondered how they'd sound together. Hesitant to release this because if I ever post my actual remix people might get the two videos confused. Eh, oh well.

Rock Cover - Your Great Name - Natalie Grant
Great video and very helpful. Even the cheat sheet. ;) Easy Song site says you don't need a mech license for streaming-only on Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp since they are blanket licensees.
It IS a cover song dude not a remix Remixes are lame . Use that right jargon.
This used to be a little confusing to me too, so I’ll shed some light on this: If you are using any sonic material from the original work (vocals, whatever), you are in remix territory (regardless of how much you alter it or add your own production). It’s in the name: you’re *mixing* prerecorded material with your own. Remixes require different licensing. In order to be a cover, it needs to be all (100%) your own recorded material.
Got dizzy watching this guy click his mouse all over the screen, distracting and chaotic
I still have a couple hundred cds to sell at cabaret shows. Should i just go back to Harry Fox and pay for the next few hundred? These yt videos are ONLY about digital not physical
Actual actual actual hopping all around the screen.....calm down
Dude use the right terms. Nomenclature essential
Can't wait for the finished product 🤘
I barely recognized you without your Patrick picture
This is a great video! Although not as flashy as many others, it goes through all steps of the licensing process which may feel a bit daunting at first. CDBaby support is also a joke.. weeks and weeks passing by without response. And when the response arrives, pointing to articles already in the FAQ type answers. So good thing Jetler lay it out for us!
♥️♥️♥️♥️
Your video helped. Thanks.
Dude, that's crazy, I got to your channel from your cover of great is your name, and I can't believe you also did Million Days, this is the first song I ever learned to play on Uke.
Somebody out there is actually listening to my music! yay
This is amazing! How is it not more popular! I literally looked up "your great name natalie grant metal" on a whim, and this came up. I was not actually expecting anything. Immediately putting this on my playlist! Much love dude, thanks for making this
dont you need a mechanical license because you are still distributing the original artists composition and material.
I don't know but I have one now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
how'd you get one?@@jessehufstetler441
Yes
Whatever, anyways, u know, I guess, really a pro presentation. NOT
Lotta guessing...😂😂
Awesome!!! Thanks for making this rock version 💪🏻
I think you should collab with Ben S. Dixon and Aaron Kell to make more metal covers. If you guys made more electronicore-type covers that sounded like this together, it would be amazing!
I mean I'm down if they want to collab. I think they use much less auto tune and fake drums and fake guitars though haha. I think if you like this kind of music so much you should learn to produce. I can show you my ways if you want
@@jetler3388 That would be awesome, but I currently only have a Chromebook and an acoustic guitar; there's not much I can do in terms of music at the moment... :(
@@BB-BA55akaMR-BLEGH What kind of Chromebook do you have? Is it locked down by your school (or work or whatever)? Like can you install apps on it? I'm honestly considering buying one and seeing if I can make music on it and making a video about it
@@jetler3388 My Chromebook was given me from my brother after he got it gifted to him from his middle school. So, it's not locked down or anything. It's just not compatible with anything outside of Google. Based on personal experience, reading forums/reviews, etc, if you want to do anything outside of using Google apps like UA-cam/Docs/Drawings/etc, GET A DIFFERENT LAPTOP. It has compatibility issues with apps/programs/Bluetooth all over the place that non-Chromebooks don't have. If you want to make music on a laptop, it's not going to be this one.
HTB168 (15:45) is also one of those "standard sounds" lots of people might be looking for
Favorite favorite favorites: Non-squelchies: 15 (1:14) (cool supersaw), 125 (11:41) (dubstep bass). Squelchies: 36 (3:03) (Best FM bass imo), 166 (15:33) (vocodex-type bass)
Favorite favorites: Non-squelchies: 15 (1:14) (cool supersaw), 125 (11:41) (dubstep bass). Squelchies: 36 (3:02) (Best FM bass imo), 56 (4:53) (lo-fi type bass thing), 158 (14:42) (bandpass bass), 166 (15:33) (vocodex-type bass)
Have you considered a Switchfoot cover?
I feel like Switchfoot is already pretty rockin'. Also I replied to your other comment on this video FYI
Love this
listen to this at 1.25 speed. it its awesome!
I think you are my biggest fan
I’ve some of your worship covers, and I think they are amazing! I made a list of songs that I think could be covered (please, don’t be pressured by this!). At the very least, you can check these songs if you haven't heard them before. You can listen to them through the playlist I’ve made: ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=christian+worship+(of+all+sorts) One thing I’ve noticed that might make it easier to imagine a song in a punk/metal form is hitting the settings icon on UA-cam and playing the song at 1.25 speed. It sounds like a weird thing to do, but it works! Hillsong: Say the Word Touch the Sky Touch of Heaven Hillsong Young and Free: Lifeline Energy Every Little Thing Real Love Trust In Your Eyes Elevation: Here Again (Paradoxology) Bethel: I Can Feel You You Make Me Brave (Live) Least of These: Filthy Man Liturgists: Vapor Tow'rs: Belly of the Deepest Love Delirious: King Or Cripple Jeremy Riddle: Fall Afresh Shawn McDonald: Gravity Steffany Gretzinger: Morning Song Constant One Steady Heart Getting There Shane and Shane: The Answer I Miss You Yearn Psalm 13 Holy You’re Beautiful Desert Song Marvelous Light Something Like Silas: Creation’s Call Words That You Say Infinite When I Search Rains Pour Down In The Burning Phil Wickham: Messiah Mosaic MSC: So I Sing Unknown Tremble Across the Universe Heartbeat King of All Jeremy Camp: Tonight No Matter What It Takes We The Kingdom: Take Me On A Ride Don’t Tread On Me (listen 2 1.25 speed! Trust me!) Matty Mullins: See You In Everything More of You Speak To Me The Great Unknown Jennifer Knapp: Breathe On Me Relient K: I Need You Devastation and Reform Switchfoot: Head Over Heels Jars of Clay: Fade To Grey Also, I think collaborations are fun! You should check these guys to listen to their covers! Below are artists who have collabed together: paquotl ua-cam.com/users/paquotlfeatured Ben S. Dixon ua-cam.com/users/bboytotherfeatured James Franchise ua-cam.com/channels/0oY1itTi48J25i8WddMAUA.html Their collab channel: Venerant Hearts: ua-cam.com/channels/GHUelq9h9BuVJg7Ki8UYxQ.html
Dude, this is awesome! You need to check out Search the City. They used to play them at the high school youth group I went to years ago. If you could do metal covers of their music, it would be so perfect. Your voice sounds just like the singers in that band!
I made this song, I'm just using a different UA-cam account here... I feel like Search The City is already metal infused enough? Also that's interesting that they played Search the City at your youth group since their songs have some (minor) bad words and not great themes
These two songs sound amazing together!!
cool
Wow, this song is great!
Awesome job on this cover brother! Amen!
This is the best metal cover I've hear all day
From tip to toe, an excellent metal cover

This brings me some good memories, the sound it's some sort of blend of french synths with Chromeo.
I really like you're jams...wish you were around more
Thanks!
