Hello there! H3SW contains more than 60 HoMM II maps, all the classic HoMM classes/factions, creatures, music, sprites, artifacts while adding new ones fitting the HoMM II art style and distinct fairytale atmosphere :))
This mod is way to unknown. Hota is good but Sucessionwars is a true gem and important for HOMM2 nostalgia!

Mayhaps the 7th troop of each of the old towns should be an elemental. For example lava elemental for warlock, water for sorcerer, air for knight, earth for barbarian and add an lightning elemental for the wizard with fitting strength/weakness. And have the new creatures for a new town insted. That desert town looks cool and maybe could have all the elementals, nomad, rouge, medusa and genie as troops, and it would fit in quite well as an "original" heroes 2 faction! Nice mod

Can I ask you what glitch you are walking about?
@@TheSuccessionWarsMod In map editor flags of the towns and mines are always shown to be yellow, even if you change it. Its not a critical glitch, but its very annoying for map creation.
@@mrbabbles5989 Alright, well, yes, that would be nice if we could easily fix that, but since the plugin that changes the flag colors only work in-game, we still got some work to do to make it work in the map editor. Still thanks for the report :)
I like how the warlocks have their own garbage heap. It was a long time demanded feature.

I tried playing heroes 2 on macbook using that program Parallels it doesn't work very well now I have to go buy a windows laptop just for this classic game been playing since 96 - 97 I know most people like homm3 but for me homm2 always been the best
there are programs like "virtual machine" that allow you to allocate free space and install any Windows. There is also a Wine program directly for running Windows programs on a Mac.

We are currently having a problem with the custom campaigns, so unfortunately they aren't playable. However, the individual Wizard's Land maps can be played from the standard scenario selection menu

Amazing job! This prompts me to install the mod again. Question: Is it possible to include the HoMM2 campaign and campaign selection? I assume this is difficult bc now only regular scenarios are implemented?

No, the Witch especially still needs a lot of work, but hopefully we will get to that in the future.
The other day when I was playing Homm2 I was thinking man I wish I could play a game that looked and felt like this, but as good as Homm3. This is great!

No, unfortunately this is happening across all platforms. The Wizard Land scenarios are still available through the scenario menu.
Was there always 7 slots for army units in this game?
In H3 yes there is 7 slots, but in H2 there is only 5.

Well, partly. The compatibility with HD mod has been significantly improved over last version :)
OK, so I was with v0.8.0 and I tried to update it through the HOMMHD launcher. But it only updates the HD launcher. So I downloaded it and installed it in C:\Games\Heroes\Heroes3TSW. I run it and it again said it was v0.8.0. So I checked and installed in C:\Games\Heroes\Heroes3TSW\HoMM 3 Complete. But then it runs In The Wake Of Gods despite the fact that the exe is H3SW_v0.8.2. What's going on?
Try installing H3SW v0.8.2 on a clean version of HoMM III. You cannot update it through HD mod or by overwriting the old H3SW version.
