oooo man i love this kinda messy style.. and grey hairs for squilf! i've never seen that in a design for her before but she IS pretty old by this arc after all.
The symbolism of the brambles covering everything- esp in the scene with the puppet clan members, showing that Bramblestar has everyone in his control since he's leader, including and especially Squirrelflight. I eat this kinda stuff up, awesome work man

waitwaitwait i rewatched this several times and i see so much symbolism that absolutely astonishes me but i don’t wanna edit my comment so- (i hope i don’t get any of these wrong) -the brambles around squirrels paw in the beginning showing how chained she is to bramble!! -the cats with button eyes surrounded by brambles almost made out to be his puppets -EXACTLY NINE STARS AROUND BRAMBLES HEAD?? the nine lives symbolism ong i cannot -the brambles growing to cover squirrels mouth showing her freedom of speech is slowly deteriorating -the dead squirrels all around the two as they sleep and brambles claws hooked around her almost possessively!! -the very end when it’s not just ashfur dragging her down but bramble as well showing they both affected her negatively i am SO SORRY that i keep rambling i just love this pmv so much and i appreciate every tiny bit of symbolism this lives rent free in my brain now
