I found my Haworthias like a gritty cactus mix which is about 50% organic. I keep them outdoors in summer (in an area with lots of sun and long rainfall periods). Got one pot with 20+ year old soil, and the Haworthias are still doing great. Seems like Haworthias are pretty easy going. It's worth experimenting with different soils.
Thank you for your video 🙏🏻🤝🏻
What is your indoor temperature?
Love your video!! I bought a mezoo plant early in Summer upstate NY. Did great during the summer and brought it indoors and the flowers are not blooming now. The leaves look healthy but some browning leaves underneath the growth. I have it in partial Sunlight and natural sunlight and always check the dryness. Is the lack of flowers because I am doing something wrong or is it natural for the cold fall we have this year?? Thank you!! 🌺🌺🌵🌵🪴🪴
From my understanding they only bloom outdoors, so that’s normal! It’ll bloom again once you have it back outdoors.
For how many hours shoul i give it sunlight
You speak like everyone died in your family 😂 why so sad!?
Im doing this. Thanks.
Beautiful and very helpful! Thanks 😊
Do you ever bring your mezzo in from outside? I live in Minnesota and there’s bugs like crazy here. I was told at a nursery to probably just throw it and avoid all those bugs. Any ideas?
this is not a myth : indeed red light promotes flowering. When you use a 6500k light ( often said for vegetative growth phase) it also contains enough red light to induce flowering. But if you use more red then you will get MORE flowers because manipulating the spectrum with extra red induce more hormonal response to induce flowering. Growlight are designed for productivity and profitability. Many people are satisfied with standard lights because they arent growing demanding plants and they're not looking for productivity : its my case because I grow carnivorous plants as a hobby. I need powerfull lighting so i had to use led growlight. Standard domestic led cant easily provide high PPFD ( 200 and more! umol). So no its not a myth when you want to produce fruits and veggies. But if you're growing for leasure ( succulent, orchids , fern...etc then standard led lamp should be ok).
Do you have the Blue Whale?
Can you show us how to prep the bed how to get rid of weed?
Where did you buy them from?
I like the cat litter box.
hot
How do you water them? Sprinkle system? How often? Are they in full sun?
Hi , can I ask what mm size this akadama is and is that your preference for all cacti you grow?
Amazing , treat for the eyes ❤️
So just regular white light?
This is an awful disrespect to mother nature. Disgusting. The greed of some companies. Isee that crap for sale at Home Depot. Each time I visit there, I break at least 5-8 of those poor painted plants. Im contributing for making them non profitable. I know many people will think this is vandalism. Well, our mother nature was vandalized and disrespected already at first place! Do the same, please, untill we dont see them anymore! 🙏 ❤
I would like to see roots comparison, too 😅
Wonder where all those species actually come from and are native to
Do you overwinter them inside then
If you could make a video that describe how much maintenance and what that entails, that would be great. Also check out crevice gardens
Looks fine to me 🤷🏻♀️better than most
Gorgeous. I can't believe some of those larger agaves can winter outside in zone 6
Very cute plant, but I highly doubt Altman's got the name right. To me, this looks far more like Haworthia magnifica var. acuminata, which is basically a cross between H. magnifica and H. turgida/H. retusa thus the lime-green color.
Hi, very typical of plants in my garden, try hard and they struggle, one falls on the floor or ground un- noticed and thrives...just nature telling us, she knows what she's doing if we leave her alone 😂🤣😂
Your succulent garden still looks better than mine even after I spent last week weeding. i am sure I asked before but what zone are you in.
what zone and where can one get it where are you
Just amazing! Wish here was a plant list for this garden.
Do you use any growth light? I have some Haworthia at a west facing window, should I supplement them with some growth light ? I want them healthy and plumb with clear “window”
Thanks. Wanting to visit .
My God, so stunning. I can’t wait to do mine! You inspire me, thank you!! Many blessings to you and your family!! 💕
Will you be giving us an update on this garden?
Missed you! I was just planting some sempervivum this weekend and thought of you and your plants haha.
How wonderful to hear you again. Your life has obviously been very busy...the plants look great, yes definitely a hanging plant in that macrame...maybe a chain of hearts? They are not too greedy for light. Looking forward to more from you... Jane
I will be looking for this one !!!
Hi what zone are you in ? I am zone 7b . I love your plants. I am recently getting into the ground cover succulents. I have hard to grow areas on some bank gardens and they seem to do well last year even with unseasonally colder weather and snow amounts that stayed around. I seen a tray of mixed succulents that was for 20.00 . I thought was a good price, i wouldn't want to plant it like the carpet it comes.out as. Could i gently break apart with my hands or would be better to be.knife cut ? I have large amount of areas i would like to start and the flat tray is a great deal compared money wise but ... i would like your thoughts
GREAT video! I heard that growers will know when to water by its color. But you actually showed close up the color differences. I don’t think it would be so strong. GOOD JOB!!’
I have officially watched every video on sempervivum that you have made. Thank you so much for making them they are fantastic not many people make videos on sempervivum. Absolutely in love with this plant you have several varieties that I don't think I've ever even seen. Do you happen to sell any of yours through eBay are Facebook?
My favorite! I live in Florida and it's beginning to drop into the low 40s so I have been taking it inside. But I have so many from propagation. My leaves do tend to kind of deflate and eventually go brown. Any ideas as to why?
I have a big pile of rocks, I think I just thought of a use for them , thanks!
Las plantas propagadas en agua pueden pasarse a macetas con tierra? Le pregunto.Gracias.
Yes, after it rooted.
Can i use akadama or pumice as topping only?
0:43 what's the name of this white one?
Could you just bring this mother plant in you think? Do you have better luck with water prop or with dirt prop?
I dirt prop in zone 9a and it takes off. 😊
Its called H.Atrofusca Mutant “Watermelon”, yours is nice and plump looking
Where the other plant.
Looks amazing! Wish the title was accurate 😢 came here to learn “how”
Me too 😢
