The only way I can properly describe this scene is Noel being a sweetheart! Claire blushing in tandem made my smile even bigger. I think Noel deserves an apology for all the insanity he’s had to deal with…

“hosinosinosoko” means “at the bottom of the stars”. When I played this scene a second time… Rouge’s “how comical” line suddenly brought back my memories of playing it a first time. When I played this game for the first time, I felt really alone. Whenever I tried to trust the demons, they’d just make me feel betrayed somehow. (Zizel. Looking at you.) Whenever I hoped that maybe this time Claire would live, she didn’t. I felt like I was the only one getting mad at all this injustice I was seeing… Her “how comical” back then seemed like just another one of the demon’s commentary. “Haha, great story!” “That was a great scene!” “This is all so comical.” It struck me as a little in your face on my first time but not too bad. On my second time, what should have just seemed like a normal reaction from Rouge now that I knew her suddenly reminded me of that “in your face, haha” feeling from the first time I played this game. And I remembered a lot of other things. Like puzzling through the mystery. Getting excited when another character than Claire had a turn to be playable because I wanted to find out more. Guessing plot points… forgetting to be cautious around Lime… reading the comments as I plowed through the no commentary playthrough I was watching so I could see any theories… being happy that Noel also felt like he was in my position… that hope I felt after the Bonus Stage… I’ve more or less gotten over it, but there was a time when I just wanted my memories of this game to be erased, so that I could go through it all over again…
