All I can say about this video is that not all of these players are NFL. The pee wee players start at age 6 or so, then you also have high school players like the massive guy in the black jersey, college & university players. Texas has a huge high school following, the college players are where the NFL recruits its players. Only the NFL players get paid, college & university players are prohibited from getting paid.

To answer your question about if you can be killed by a baseball…. Yes. In the 150 year history of professional baseball only 1 player has died as a result of an on field injury. It was a batter struck in the head a long time ago before players wore batting helmets. But often times fielders throwing the ball to each other throw the ball at speeds just as fast as when pitchers are pitching to the batter… so a fielder (not wearing a helmet) in the wrong place at the wrong time or a base runner who’s helmet falls off (happens all the time) it could happen again.

Flips and helicopters happen alot when the ball carrier goes airborne.

Ya Antonio's situation is sad. It has to do with this kind of video too. He took a huge hit from a Cincinnati Bengals player when he was with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many have said and it had been shown in documentaries with video evidence, interviews etc, that his personality changed drastically after that hit and a series of concussions. Big problem in this sport and it had been a problem since the beginning. Dudes literally take a decade off their life if they play this game for 5-10. At 4:44, that type of hit is called a bunt. The batter simply pushes the ball down the left or right line to make it hard for the pticher or catcher to reach before the batter reaches 1st base.

One thing that may be hard to understand, there are force outs and there are times you have to tag the runner. A forced out is when the runner can only go to the next base. In that case the defensive player only needs to touch the base while holding the ball. When a batter puts the ball in play, he can only go to first base. So pitchers usually throw the ball between 70 mph to over 100 mph depending on the pitch and the pitcher. MLB fastballs usually run between 90-100 mph with breaking balls between 70-80 mph. This is fast enough to kill someone because a batter was killed back in the 1920s after getting hit in the head

So with the second clip, pitchers throw all sorts of pitches to confuse the batters and prevent them from getting a hit. It's harder to hit a homerun than you'd think. So the batter could only tap the ball because that's the only way he could hit the ball with the way it was moving against his swing

Yes it is possible to die but it has been worked on over years, but we have lost numerous people to foul balls hitting people in the head, or bats being flung either direction just by it accidentally slipping out of the persons hands. But it is much safer now all coaches that are on the field have to wear helmets, Batting helmets have been improved, fielders still take a bit of a risk because they only wear hats and sunglasses. All and all baseball is much safer now and not many fatalities happen on the field. Off the field is another story.

This why I loved playing football! You get 48 minutes in h.s. and 60 minutes in college/pro to break the will of your opponent to take the field! I am in no way advocating for career ending hits but you cannot turn football into some soft non competitive docile sport! We also know what we're signing up for and we get amped every time we lace up our cleats!

If a helmet flies off, the play is usually stopped for the players safety.

7:51 - there was a hit but not on the ball carrier. You don't have to carry the ball to get clobbered. The guy was blocked as he was pursuing the runner.

yes it will kill you if you get hit by this ball without a helmet. at it's fastest in the MLB a baseball could be going between 90-103 miles per hour. And at its slowest between 79-89 miles per hour. In shot ball is going super fucking fast and if it hits you in your head with that speed without a helmet you will most likely die.
