Can fact: this guy is my dad
You really didn’t address lumpectomy and radiation in this video.
What about us in our 70s and on medicare?
I laughed so hard when she talked about how she is still "deciding" years later whether to have reconstruction. Then proceeded to talk about how she got the secretaries to help her fill her missing breast.
Fortunate to live in Canada.🇨🇦💖 No bills during my breast cancer journey 👍😍
I never doubted my decision to go flat. My grandmother passed away quickly. My mother went through reconstruction and it was hard to watch. When it was my turn I wanted the best outcome. No more mammograms or getting the MRI and biopsies. Going flat helps me stop fearing this come back. My oncologist will still see me once a year for a check and my surgeon said she will as well. I am confident that going flat gives me the best long-term survival at age 44. I opted against reconstruction and to go flat for my mother and grandmother. They would have wanted the best shot at this. Never a doubt that this is the way for me. Thank you for your video. It helps us not feel alone.

hello flat here🙏💙
Hello. Flat is an important choice that needs to be on the menu
@@patriciaanstett3679 Yes! You wouldn't believe how my surgeon didn't have photos of a wise pattern, anchor incision, going flat double mastectomy because he said only 5% of patients are like me. I said, "Well, now all of your patients will have my photos and me as a patient contact. Nobody should feel that alone."
I contracted hpv 'i was told there is no HPV cure except treatment to control it. I totally lost hope all i could think was losing my life because it was so embarrassing to have this virus. A few weeks ago I read about a possible natural cure which was guaranteed. And I ordered the treatment after a few weeks I got 100% cure. Now I'm so excited to share this testimony to every article for others living with HPV there is possible natural treatment to eliminate this virus email dr.orede information's email: drorede884@gmail.com or massage him on whatsapp +2348070861121 He is capable of curing HIV / AIDS, HERPES, HPV, HSV1 & 2, CANCER of all kinds, DIABETES and so many other infections 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 facebook.com/drorede8/
I realise how lucky I am to be in England and don’t have to pay for any treatment
Im 60 years old when i had a mastectomy in one breast. My instinc tells me no to reconstruction.
Vary helpful thank you again
Thank you so much for sharing your experience
you are welcome; hope it was helpful
Thank you for your valuable testimony 🙏
I wish I was flat like yours. I had a bilateral mastectomy and had a trauma, a WK later, got Hematoma in left breast and now after surgery my left breast has lots of ripples. I'm very up over this, now I have to have plastic surgery.
I had a lumpectomy and recon of both breast 10/31/19. I’m happy I did it. Like the smaller Breast ! All clear now but I’m not doing radiation. Other contingency’s determine that choice. I wish you the best!
Why did you choose not to have radiation?
This is precisely why my team of doctors and surgeons are exclusively women. Men will never understand.
Fryda Wolff I agree with you. Im not a feminist by any means but I’ve had female doctors throughout my journey and I believe it’s helped in many ways.
I am not a feminist and I agree ( same experience) Men will NEVER be able to understand despite their high skills😔
Unfortunately, I was unable to have my entire team women. One of my surgeons is a man because they didn't have a woman who did my kind of procedure....in a major city... He didn't listen to me and kept repeating that he could take from my stomach at a later date to form a breast. I said no to reconstruction for three months, every appointment. Doctors need to listen. Going flat should be accepted by surgeons!
Let’s wring our hands...you need ALL the information. Everyone makes an individual decision.
