learn how photography works u know nothing about how lighting works ur pictures are terrible
This is pretty much the exact guide I wanted to make a solid base coat. I'll give this a shot, thanks a ton!
Hope it helps!
Never thought I'd see someone use one of those bubble toys as a palette 🤣
That’s pretty smart lol also helps newbies not to use to much paint on a pallet and waste
yessssss moar relicbladeys
YEE HEEE BUDDY
Amazing!
Very cool!
Thanks Sean, love the game and minis.
Awesome, I would strip off the basecoat with alcohol, I might have try this on a mini I dislike.
Great video!
Looking forward to seeing how you clean up the minis. Used to work with hard plastic but battletech is weird and soft. Gotta prepare for the mercenaries kickstarter.
Thanks! I've not be super on video making at the moment, but I have the footage shot, it just needs to be edited, so maybe soon!
The music sounds like its from a billy bob thorton movie ( sling blade) was that the goal?
I like me some french fried taters, mmmhmmm. You shouln't uh done that, he's justa boy.
I did my version of this and the panel liner helped alot
I like this down to earth easy to follow videos. Very relaxing. The music you chose fits your voice and your style very well. Looks like you love what you're doing 👍
Glad you like them, more to come!
When brush priming i find its really important to wash the mini very thoroughly in degreaser or warm dish soap with a good cold rinse under running water before priming
Great tips and i really appreciate that you actually described how to use the brush to create texture.
Watchin on da toilet 😎
Thanks bro, my biggest supporter!
Great Camera Setup! Thanks for the Tutorial =) Would be nice to see the End result at the Start to know where we will End up.
Will consider it in the next ones thanks
One of the best tips I got out of this video was to weight my pill bottle mini holder with some coins for stability! Thanks!
You can thank my pardner Jatbi for that ;)
3:00 when you say a bluish or purplish grey color, what particular color do you use or recommend? I've got a few purplish greys from Citadel and it looks like you are using a grey with some purple to it.
Gray is the majority yes, it doesn't really matter tbh, I have like six or seven grays and I just grab one and go. You can start with just any gray and mix a little blue or purple into it, the idea is just to use a gray with some purple/blue to it as it helps give it a metal look.
@@redpianominiatures I have discovered that when doing metals this way, it helps to use a satin varnish over those surfaces to give a sort of metallic luster. Gloss varnish gives an unrealistic effect and matte varnish will make those areas look just grey.
Subscribed! I hope you do more minis especially Battletech ones! Great job!
Thanks! I will do, I'm working on more videos, I'm a bit late releasing my next one, I just haven't had time to record the audio yet, but it should go up this week.
Did you seal the model before applying the enamel? Is there a risk of the white spirits stripping off the acrylic paint?
No I don't, and no there shouldn't be. As long as you use an acrylic or lacquer primer, and use acrylic or lacquer paints underneath the enamel wash, there shouldn't be any risk the previous layers being removed.
@@redpianominiatures Thank you for the quick reply! The Turkina came out beautifully.
Thanks, subbed. you should make a video about how you paint cockpit glass at some point too!
Will do, thanks for the sub
Yeah his cockpit glass is always stellar
That is a nice looking base sir.
Thank you much
I've been looking forward to this!
Wow look at that FASA Atlas
Exactly what I was looking for in a video. The length was good, all the techniques are simple to understand but very effective and the end product is wonderful.
Thanks dood
Nice color scheme. I also love the idea of adding the triangles and circles as warning signs and such. Great idea.
Thanks, I think I picked it up from someone else on youtube and went with it.
Absolutely beautiful Turkina and a great video, really well explained. I'm sure you've already got a bunch of ideas in mind, but I'd love to see a video on making a Urban base like you have here!
The next video will be making bases similar to this.
Love this paint scheme you do excellent work
Appreciate it!
fantastic work
Good stuff. Especially the cockpit cuts are great too see steps and changes. Some cuts like hazard stripes are a bit quick but enjoyable overview. Great insight
Thank you, I think I need to iron out a system for making videos, to ease up things like some of the quick cuts and such, which I'll work on in the next couple videos and forward.
Great video. Clean paint job. How did you do the lasers??
I'll have a separate video on painting LAZORS in the future.
Great video mate, love to see more Battletech hobby videos on youtube.
Thanks, I will try to fill the void somewhat.
Great video. Thanks for posting it. It was very easy to follow and I look forward to trying it out soon.
Thanks for sharing
Great work Kenny, thanks for sharing! Can you tell us how long you left the paint layers to dry before going to the next stage - especially the time between the last, top layers (sky blue and black) and the start of the ISP alcohol wash? And if you have experimented with different timings? Many thanks.
I didn't wait at all, only as long as it took me to clean my airbrush, so a minute or so. The only experiment I've done is letting the paint sit for 8 hours overnight, and it didn't change the result much at all.
@Kenny Hibberds thanks very much, good to know. I hope you share more similar videos, this was very well shot and edited and very informative. Best regards.
Looking forward to more videos. I appreciate the detail in this.
Glad you like it
Good stuff!! :D
Digging the videos as always. Need to stop slacking and take your class
