I'm a crew chief at a major airline with over 30 years experience. I can tell you that 6hr engine changes on this type of aircraft are impossible. Your looking at 24hrs minimum if everything is properly laid out with an experienced crew.
Yeah thats a very massive aircrath. But to change the engines on a a380, b747, or antonov-225 is another story. It probably takes more than 2 weeks to chane all engines for shore
I can't stop wondering, how practical and proper it is, to put a new and a used engine to work together. One might say, it depends how much used it is, since that is also a factor, but it is much used, i believe it would be more sane to change both engines, since both work with same loads, demands and have the same mileage.
767? 🤔
Incredible how valuable each engine is really, the price of a vast mansion or decent yacht each
This video gives me nostalgia 😢
Cool
What song was in the video
Does anyone know the aircraft registration/tail number?
All of you are wrong it's when engine burns off old oil

Technically most of the people above /below me are probably 30-40 years old
Why the absolute heck am I here when it is so old that I was a toddler when it got published, wait doing the math I was only in pre elementary lol.
Same here, I saw this video way back in preschool, this just makes me go back to memory lane.
get the damn ge90 instead
Why all time the engine is running?
Wind is causing the blades to spin
Cuando se subió este vídeo tenía 4 meses :')
great video ! how many gallons of fuel it burns in flight ,?
why are the engines idle to change themn
Just beautiful
Shouldn't the 777 be wearing a GE 90 and not the RR.
One of the engine options for the 777 is RR Trent
Video can be captured by a 737 engine
Ok now I know how to change a jet engine
This is my childhood video lol

車のエンジンを航空機に搭載するんかーい!
We didn’t have a “ trainer” we went by the book. And about 6 hours, need a time stamp on the video.
Why is the video quality so bad ?
i just have to say. if these guys had a mental breakdown, they can easily do something that will make the plane crashes. just saying.

After completing the install, do they test fly the airplane (takeoff and land) before carrying passengers?
Just to confirm. This is not at normal speed. How can they change an Engine in 4 min and 44 sec
Thanks for the info. I had absolutely no idea because aircraft mechanics can pretty much teleport in real life.
240P WE MEET AGAIN ,goodbye.....
i love the GE9X Sounds <3
why was the engine spinning while change? also the newer one?
Engines can rotate freely. Just the wind or towing them on the engine stand will do that. Doesn't harm the engine.
What does the bike at 3:30 do?
Lol never even noticed it was there
Now this is what I call 4K HD Graphics

Why these engines cost $15million each?? For that money you can have a mansion 2x the size of a 777.
Have you ever tried to fly a mansion across the ocean?
Cool thunderstorm in the background.
Hello fellow recommended video friends. Ahaha
soo easy it takes only 5min to do it.
Why they didn’t change the other one too ?
amazing,
You could do it in half the time leaving the cowling on and using a traditional forklift.... No need for that ridiculous cradle
Dusty Gadsby And That was why there was a plane that lost it engine. Pylon damaged.

Hell I can do that, hold my beer. 😋
جودة الفديو سيئة جدا لماذا يا ترى ؟
Ah, back in the good old days with the shiny and far superior livery.
