Hello, IV just taken on a clutch change job on a unimog and never worked on one before. My background is precision engineering and have done lots of mechanics over the years but these day I tend to stay away from it, bad back but this jobs more a favour and I get to use it for my own projects when done,,,the question is, 1- would u be up for given advice if I get stuck and do u have any pointer in hindsight. I am off to the job now and going to get it out of the field and into his workshops, plus try and hunt out model number as it's a special with a 4 ton have on the back,,, 2- is there a way of doing the clutch from the gear box end? ,. Nice job! Congratulations! I have done the same process with my 404.1 fire engine truck but motor doesn't work and engine oil is leaking seriously thru the nozzle on the top of the oil filter. Can you please advise what's wrong with it? Thanks Zoltán

I like this guy! Banging Classical music, making an extra cab Mog in the driveway. However it doesn't surprise me after seeing you do an engine swap single handed. Very cool man! No disrespect intended, why did you go gas instead diesel? I did see that crate engine installed. Very impressive crate motor / time machine. Wish Nissan would get smart and build these 521 series truck again, this time, offer a 4 wheel drive option to buy when you buy this truck from the Nissan car lot.

Boy would I have loved to find and get one of these 521 series Datsun trucks when I use to live in Murfreesboro Tennessee back in the middle to upper 80's. Loved the looks and design, love the practicality of these little trucks, loved the fuel efficiency they all were capable of, loved everything about these 521 series Datsun trucks.
