What a great project--there's nothing quite like hearing great musicians play your original music around you. Nice work, Ed (and band)! And gutsy to not even isolate the soloists--you obviously have great trust in your musicians, and they all sound great!
This band have been playing together for a long time, and have a close relationship with the engineer. Basically, they're the dream team! Certainly worth getting the train to Austria for!!!

Michael Gibbs remains one of the world greatest jazz arranger/composers and one of the best teachers I ever had.
Agree - I had him for Composition in the 70's at Berklee, and it was a great experience, he was very much about how you open the door to creativity as opposed to nuts and bolts orchestration and harmony, which we got loads of there anyway (also great, but I remember my first class with Mike in detail, the others not so much.)
