I had to walk away from the woman I've been with since 16 and the child I had with her at the start of this year. 8 years with somebody and then suddenly it's like they're a total stranger. I still have my boy once a week and he's the light of my life, but it also means I have to see her multiple times a week. I showed her slipknot years ago and they became her favourite band. You do realize this song is about a mans obsession with a woman right? A physiological disorder. He was infatuated with a woman he wanted but could only have in his head. That's why he kept saying " She isn't real" because he was battle his own demons. Either that or he killed her and he is dealing with the mental consequences of that. Take your pick I guess. Everyone has their own interpretation.
