I lost my mom last year and i miss her hugs and kisses i wanna feel that love from her again 😢

I wish I could have my mom back in my life. Cancer killed her in 2014. She dealt with it throughout my childhood up until I was 14 she died when I was 14. It was an on and off battle for her. It's been ten years since she died and my life will never be the same as it was when she was alive. She was only 38 when she was first diagnosed with cancer and 48 when she died.

I heard this song in the Thornberries movie when I was 7~? I'm 15 now. This is still one of my favorite songs, even if I just today found out what it's called and who sang it. It's one of the most precious songs to me, and I'm just very glad to have found it today.

My father and I danced to this at my wedding, and yeah, maybe that was predictable, and maybe a little trite, but, it fit our relationship, and our guests should be glad we didn't go with what would have otherwise been our first choice if this song hadn't come out (Call Me Al). My Dad and I both have a bouncing gait, and watching us dance made people a little woozy; to Call Me Al, we may have needed to provide courtesy barf bags. 🤣 But I'm still glad this song came out, and we danced to it. Because I still believe, there's never been a father who loved his daughter as much as mine loves me. (It also fit what my husband danced with his mother to--Bridge over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkle--in that our two dances were tied together by Paul Simon.)

I am 43 and when you get older like me you start to appreciate your mom more and more and you watch them age and you realize that they will not be there someday. It scares me that someday my mom will die and it's something I am going to have to deal with. Never take your parents for granted. If you do get into an argument with them watch your words and what you say it is better to bite your tongue than say something hurtful you don't mean and then can not take it back.
