Do you feel it’s worth the time and money for All About Reading? Busy mom of six kids here.

Separating the flash cards was not a highlight for me lol. I only ever bought the student materials with levels 1 and 2, but never used the workbooks. So for levels 3 and 4 I just bought the teachers guide because there are images of all of the cards in the teachers manual. I just put a sticky flag on our review page and one on our current page. Since there’s mini images of the student pages also printed in the teachers manual I’m able to reference those for fluency practice. The font is super small for those, but I can read it!

With explode the code most homeschooling parents use it either as a supplement or independent work. Very few parents use it as a full curriculum but it is written so it can be any of the three. It could be used as a full curriculum, supplement, or independent work.

would love to see how you guys like AAR once you start. We’re doing the pre reading from AAR and I’m unsure if we wanna do level 1 next or logic of English.

we are about halfway through the explode the code primers and we love them that was the first thing we’d tried really. Super repetitive and simple but it good I use it for handwriting too because my sons now really ready for handwriting and doesn’t like to color either so this is a win win!

This book definitely helped me teach my 6 year old how to blend. We stopped at lesson 32 and moved onto From Phonics to Reading Level k, but I'm definitely going to use it for my 4 year old in the near future. Great pointers! 😊
