One of my favorite parts of Sunday morning worship is when Rev. Meidahl quotes 1 John 1:9 followed by, “Thanks…be…to God.” Few things satisfy my heart more than that. I can think of no better way to begin the worship service.

Well, John Calvin invented the doctrine of Total Depravity or Inability equating the sinners as physically dead to justify his so-called irresistible grace, unconditional election, and perseverance of the saints or this so-called eternal security. I'm very confused when you say Baptists who are Reformed arent really Reformed because they aren't confessional. Those going by "Reformed Baptist" usually hold to the London Baptist Confession, and others who are Baptist and Reformed usually have something. Like it or not, the SBC's Faith and Message document is effectively a confession. As for the Solas, the Baptists have been onboard with all 5 since the Baptists first existed.

When you were talking about Noah’s Ark and the flood I was reminded of a quote I heard recently. I don’t remember who said it but it went something like this, “God doesn’t do a thing because it’s right and just, it’s right and just because God does it.” I have heard people say that if God chooses some and rejects others then he must be a monster as if God has to conform to laws outside of himself. He wouldn’t be God if that was true.

Love your discussion...i feel the modern culturalized Halloween celebration is more a social norm of kids getting candy. While i am a Christian and do investigate into many things, i feel my neighbors 5 yr old daughter showing up in her princess costume with her plastic pumpkin for a KitKat is not the time to push a Christian belief. Social moores have accepted my neighbor's 5 year old is not worshiping Satan by collecting candy. I feel it is harmless fun. To those of you who would disagree i would ask, do you use the days of the week? The months of the calander?.... Well, they're based on roman and Norse gods...are you participating in worshiping the god of war when you say Tuesday? If you say Saturday are you involved in Roman pagan worship?..... To be sure there are many hills that Christians must die on, but you have to chose your battles, i feel christians who don't celebrate or tolerate Halloween come off to the secular public like lunatics, its not a good look.... chose your battles..... God bless

The Bible teaches that God, who made everything, became a man in Jesus Christ. Jesus was both completely God and completely human. This is such an important truth that it doesn’t just affect how people think-it’s part of the way the whole universe is made! That’s why, even in stories from different cultures, we find gods becoming like humans, miracles happening, and people looking for someone to save them. These stories are like hints or reflections of the biggest, truest story: that God Himself came to earth to rescue us.

I would like you to have a discussion on the Noahide Laws that are embedded in the Education Act and signed by every president since Reagan. There are more than seven if you research this, that are never mentioned outside of Jewish circles which have grave implications for Christians. My concern with this election with Trump,is his extensive support for these, his Zionism, his Jewish family connections, and the fact that he was the one to restore the Federal death penalty. If you watch the rabbis on UA-cam discuss this it is chilling. The worship of Christ is considered idolatry which is punishable by death under this system. This is the reason I see Trump as a Trojan horse. I agree with you on him if this wasn’t part of his belief system.

(Romans 7:10) The law makes you sinful beyond measure. (Romans 7:13) The law is weak. (Galatians 3:11-12) The law was a curse that Christ redeemed us from. (Galatians 3:13) The law functioned in God’s purpose as a temporary covenant from Moses till John the Baptist announced Christ. (Galatians 3:16 & 19, also see… Matthew 11:12-13, Luke 16:16) If the law worked God would have used it to save us. (Galatians 3:21) The law was our prison. (Galatians 3:23) The law makes you a slave like Hagar. (Galatians 4:24) Ephesians Christ has abolished the law which was a wall of hostility (Ephesians 2:15) Philippians Paul considered everything the law gained him as “skybalon” which is Greek for “poop”. (Philippians 3:4-8) 1 Timothy The law is only good if used in the right context. (1 Timothy 1:8) (see next verse for the context) It was made for the unrighteous but not for the righteous. (1 Timothy 1:9-10) Hebrews The law is weak, useless and makes nothing perfect. (Hebrews 7:18-19) God has found fault with it and created a better covenant, enacted on better promises. It’s nice to listen to topics that we don’t hear in depth from the pulpit, but if I may, it would be more enjoyable and easier to track with the conversation if there was very little talking over each other. Thank you for providing another resource on the Reformed position. God bless.
