Excellent stream. Saw at least parts of all the videos, though not the drudgery of puzzle solving mostly the story bits. I have a particular love for Lifthrasir. As for recommending games that you mention at the end: -Souls games like Elden ring. -The Deus Ex: Human Revolution. (They also have the multiple ending story choice trope at the end, and such games are often pretty good imo). -Call of Cthulhu (2018) . Detective/lovecraftian story based game. Very suitable for streaming imo. -Suzerain. Text adventure/city management game. Good art with it too and great atmosphere. Choices matter is everything that game is about.

Ngl, this vid helped shape my headcanon for Arti, some In my headcanon, she visits a few echoes before fighting the chieftain... She questions her methods, and instead of opting to charge in blindly and slaughter all of the scavs in the chamber... She CHALLENGES the chieftain, for his throne; under his watch, his people slew her pups... Over what, a simple mistake? In the end, she still slays him; however, this time... It's self defense. She goes to spare him, and he takes the moment of weakness to attempt to finish her off; he injures her, but she's too fast... This time, the majority of the scavengers who'd been guarding the chieftain DON'T jump in to try and kill her; many even acknowledge her might; the ones who threaten her physically are dispatched... But she doesn't continue senseless slaughter. Her karma isn't damaged, or at least... Not as badly; she manages to recover enough karma by visiting more echoes, these... Weird dreams influencing her actions; and she visits Five Pebbles more frequently, to have pearls read, to try and figure things out... Finally, she finds out about The Depths, about the Void Sea... She makes her way there, with a few scavengers accompanying her as, at this point, they recognize her as their leader; even if they were initially hesitant to follow her rule... Once taught to communicate with them, she'd learn their culture and such, and even set up some rules to help her kind and theirs! But that's neither here nor there... With her entourage in tow, she makes her way to The Depths... Upon meeting the Guardians, she's flung; but the last scavs standing have an idea... They carry her onwards; and... It's enough. She departs from them as things begin to distort, telling them she WILL return... Down, down, and further still down she went... Into the Void Sea; where she feels herself being rejected by the ascension process, because she's still got attachments, such as her still missing mate... And yet... She gets to see her pups again, if briefly; they tell her to keep living, for them... And to keep searching, as their father was still out there (I am a filthy Artificer x Hunter shipper lmfao); when she wakes back up, she's before the sheer drop into The Depths, with those two most loyal, sturdy scavs standing over her, looking concerned; with barely a word, she would have them head back with her; this time she takes EXTRA care to go out of her way to save them from any dangers posed; when they all get back to Metropolis... She gathers the council, and then does the unthinkable; disbands the kingdom, resulting in the tribes we see in-game! From there, she makes her way out of Pebbles' facility grounds... Whether before Gourm gets the Outer Expanse gate unlocked or not, this Arti can explo jump multiple times without touching the ground! So... She scales the wall, and leaves... Mask still strapped to her face; to ward off lizards, to hide some of her features from scavs, and... Because she can't bring herself to part with it; it's a reminder of her failure to ascend... But also, why she even tried to do so in the first place; a reminder of her grief... But also one of why she must keep going. That's where the AU sorta ends, as... I have her go explore the lands beyond Pebbles' and Moon's facility grounds, heading the direction away from NSH's structure as... That's where her original colony was before she ever came to Pebbs following Hunter's journey Anyways, thanks for coming to my TED Talk haha

I never finished artificer as 'intended' I only played her once and after a couple thousand deaths and no scavenger kills, I ascended. I didn't get any achivement to for not killing - but knowing that I made her find peace makes me feel better.

I find that both endings are good and bad in their own weird way.. Take the chieftess ending. Artificer has worked tirelessly to avenge her children, killed by the greed of the scavengers. She takes out their chieftain, and claims title of queen of the scavengers. And yet, the final dream, when you hibernate for the last time suggests that Artificer regrets her actions. Was this truly the right course of action? Her final dream suggests that she doubts herself now. The walls of guilt slowly close in as she inches toward insanity, the cause for the near extinction for a similar, intelligent species now holding the crown of ruler of that same species. But all in all, this was amazing! Could you do another one, like with hunter?

I suspect the two children later grow up to become rivulet and Saint. The blue one having reincarnated to survive its drowning. The green one finding immortality and sacrificing its way out of the cycle to ensure a way out for its mother.

I legitimately think the Metropolis ending is the better one for Artificer. Sure, she is giving in to her anger, but she is still alive, giving her effectively limitless time to come to peace before ascending. If she abandons her quest and goes to ascend immediately she is still bound by her rage and will presumably be stuck as an echo without hope of redemption or true ascension.

I personally interpret it as arti still holding some grudge towards the scavs deep down, but as she sees her children, one last time, shes able to let go of her hatred, and finnaly gain the last symbol of karma, allowing her to ascend. After all, the void fluid is something like acid, making you dissapear forever, and as we can see, thats exactly what happened.

Your narration is so epic, so emotional, so genuine, i just got back into the rainworld fandom and i wasn't expecting this masterpiece to be the first thing i see after months of being away from the community

I literally almost cried at the end. I always took it to mean there was no hope for Artificer, that no matter what she tried she would never succeed and be reunited with her children. But you gave me hope that in some timeline somewhere, things are different.
