A Historical Fiction and Children's Book!
Great book choice! I am reading The Secret Garden for Chantel's January prompt "beauty" and using for the Read the Classics challenge as well as Alma's Journey through the decades.
Yay I’m glad you got to Catching Christmas!! 😊 I didn’t like it as much the first time but I have really enjoyed it on rereads
So excited for Every Hour until then!
I adore The Golden Braid! I would suggest reading it soon after Princess Spy, because these two are more closely connected than the rest.
I agree When The Day Comes is so good. I love Libby as well.
Yes!! Across The Ages was soooo good. I loved it.
I enjoyed Catching Christmas last December as well. A very different Terri Blackstock book.
I read the Christmas Bus last December and enjoyed it. There was a odd older woman in it right?
Glad you liked Princess Spy! It's one of my favorites of that series!
That's a great mix of books!
Made for People sounds good!
I am planning to read The Scarlet Letter sometime on 2025.
I hope you enjoy it! It brought up great discussions at the dinner table between my husband and I.
I'm looking forward to reading Lineage of Grace too this year.
I am so happy to hear you are joining me to read through the decades! Great choice to read Peter Pan. 😀
It will be so fun to find books for this challenge! Thanks for creating it!
Yay! So happy you're joining in the Princess Bride-athon 😊.
I'm so looking forward to completing the whole board! Thanks for creating it!
@Kats_stories your welcome!
I love the Peter Pan book! The ending! 🥰🥰🥰
Aww yay! I am looking forward to reading it!
Have a great month
Thank you! You as well!
You got a good selection! 😊
Thank you!
Thanks for the challenge and the recommendations, I have read Pharoh's Daughter and it was good. This challenge will be a good way for me to focus on reading books from my biblical fiction collection. This will help me in my rededication to God.
You are welcome! Yay, hopefully I can get to that books soon! I'm so happy that you considering the challenge!
I rly want to try this!! I’ve been wanting to read more biblical/christian fiction, so this could be rly helpful 😊❤
Aww yay! I hope you find some really good reads!
Counted With the Stars was really good. And anything by Mesu Andrews i love!
I knew you loved her books! I am excited to try more from her!
Guideposts has a series with ladies in the NT that’d fit in the months of Paul’s letters. I read the one featuring Phoebe and really enjoyed it. I learned a lot about their pagan idol worship in that book. Just throwing that out there. Angela Hunt has a recent series set in those times as well.
Ooo that sounds interesting! I will have to check them out! Thank you for the suggestions!
You did a great job with this idea! I like your graphic with all the little tablets for the months…clever. 😊 I already have my reading planned, but I want to try a few biblical fictions this year. There’s a new one coming out about Mary Magdeline that I want to read for sure.
Aww thanks! ooo I'll have to keep an eye out for that one! Do you know the author's name for that book?
I love this Kat! What a great idea!
Thanks Katie!
@Kats_stories your welcome
This is such a great challenge!! I'm reading through the Bible chronologically so won't be able to follow the plan for each month but will try to at least get some Biblical fiction in!!! Love this so much.
Thanks Miriam! I had fun creating this challenge! I am glad you are participating! Feel free to do what you can!
Since I read through the Bible every year, I can't follow the Bible part. But I'm excited to try out the rest of the challenge. I do various challenges for reading every year, but this is the first Christian one I've seen. Thank you for all the work you've done to put it together. I usually have to change various aspects of secular challenges to fit my values.
Aww, thank you. I am glad you will be participating! I hope you will find good reads during this year! That's very impressive you read through the Bible every year! It took me 2 years read through the Bible!
What a great idea! I don't read a lot of Biblical fiction, but this is great. I'm going to be compiling a list of year long challenges to do, and I'll add it to them.
Aww thanks Anne! I hope you find some great reads!
This is amazing! I will be joining and thank you so much.
Glad you will be participating! You are welcome!
I recently picked up A Lineage Of Grace by Francine Rivers. It has 5 stories about biblical women. This would be perfect to read throughout this challenge. And they are short novellas that I can add to my already full TBR! 😀
I have that book as well! That is a great option for the reading challenge!
I absolutely love this!! I am always looking for a good reading plan for the year. I like the idea of taking a whole month reading and studying one book of the Bible. I do have some Biblical fiction on my shelf that I have not read that I could work in as they fit in.
Glad you will be participating! I agree with taking time and reading one book of the bible a month. I've been slacking in my devo times, but I'm hoping this reading plan will help.
How does reading a retelling set in that book work with the letters?
@@MorgansEndlessBookshelf oops I forgot to clarify that! Ok so I need to add a link to the graphic. Basically I added a prompts to the letters since it doesn’t work out finding a retelling for them. Thank you for asking the question! I will have to clarify in my recs video.
Aug- Paul has to be in the retelling. Sept- city name has to be in the title or a city on the cover. Oct- modern day retelling of a biblical book. Nov- Random Letter Generator. That letter needs to be in the title.
This is such a neat idea!
@@MorgansEndlessBookshelf thanks!
I usually don't read Biblical fiction because I don't want misinformation but Isaiah's Daughter sounds interesting!
I am pretty picky with my Biblical fiction for the same reason. Some interpretations are too far out there for me, or I feel that they can contradict scripture. I liked this one though because of the amount of scripture used to help the story along.Plus I am reading Isaiah so it helps to see what is directly from the Bible and what is not.
@ yesss!! I keep seeing the name Isaiah and the Bible verses everywhere. I know God has been leading me to study the book, and I’ve been dragging my feet for some reason, but I’m gonna start it today
I love your bangs! They look really good on you
Thanks Reese!!
I'd like to read No Ocean Too Wide.
I think you would enjoy it!
Hi! I like the bangs! Your reading is good. I wassy over planned for November.
Thank you!
Thanks so much for participating in the Lewis Readathon!!!
You're welcome! Thank you for hosting it!
I love Mesu Andrews!
She really knows how to pull her readers in a story!
So happy you enjoyed No Ocean Too Wide. It's one of my all time favourites.
I'm so glad I read it! I can't wait to see what happens next!
Coming from someone who has bangs, I love yours.
Aww thank you!!
Also I will say I know Dashing Through the Snow is somewhere on my bookmas TBR this year, so I know I’ll be reading it at some point this month! I honestly don’t even remember half the books on my bookmas TBR so anyone’s guess as to what I’ll be reading this month is as good as mine 🤣 Kinda like it though bc it’s keeping me surprised 😊
I love seeing your Bookmas TBR! It is so fun to see what you pick each day. That's pretty cool Dashing Through the Snow is on your TBR! I'll look out for that video!
@ I think it was in the one that went out today!! 😄
@ & thank you 🥰🥰
Oooh I really like Dashing through the Snow AND The Scarlet Letter so rly can’t be mad with either one 😄
Nice! I started The Scarlet Letter, and I am enjoying it so far.
@ yay!!
Holy Habits sounds like a good read though! 😄 hope you enjoy it 😊
Thanks Sandra! I am holding off on it til after Christmas though. I'm hoping to get a few more Christmas reads in!
@ that makes sense!! 😊
Congrats on two years!! Glad you're part of this community!
Thank you! I'm so happy to be a part of it!
Love you got a good mix of yours and your hubby's choices. My husband loves the Redwall series. I have read one book and really enjoyed it and would love to read more at some point. I hope your reads go well. Have a great month.
Aww thanks! I never heard of the Redwall series until my husband mentioned it. I actually found that book at a Little Free Library and picked it up. Maybe I will get to it one day. I know my husband wants to read it. Thanks! I hope your reads go well too!
I'm also planning to read Christmas Heirloom!
Oh yay!! It would be cool to talk about it with you if you would like!
@@Kats_stories sounds great!
@@Kats_stories Have you read Christmas Heirloom yet?
@@MorgansEndlessBookshelf I have not! I didn’t get to it this time.
Lol, Frozen is nothing like Snow Queen. It took a tiny bit of inspiration from it and then changed a lot of the story. Honestly, Narnia (Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe) is more like Snow Queen.
Thanks for letting me know! Oh wow! I wouldn't have guessed that Narnia is more like Snow Queen. Now I'm even more curious about Queen of Snow!
I love Princess Spy!
Yay! I can't wait to get to it!
