I'm a Senior Alpine ski patroller, I've been patrolling for 19 years. Just my thoughts, the footage is cut in places and I'm back seat patrolling. But that was not a great initial assessment, no SAMPLE, no BSI when “exposing” the injury, which is a huge no-no. Doesn't look like he checked any other parts of the body or checked his spine. And then generally if you can, you transport in a position of comfort. But I would have put a tib-fib like that injury up hill, so its Not hitting into the front of the tobo. I'm an S&T TE not an OEC one. So hey, patient got to higher care in one piece and that's all that matters. Ski Patrol! “Ski fast, take chances. We need the business”

I needed ski patrol once. Luckily, I was really really close to where I needed to go to be evaluated after the crash. I knocked myself out and thought I had a knee injury. I actually snowboarded down the rest of the trail with their supervision only to not remember the next two hours.

Had so much fun watching the different parts of the video. Thank you for that!

Ski medics are so talented. I was in Austria and the medics wrapped up a guy who fell in a bundle, out him on a sled and then two of them started skiing down the mountain with the sled in between them. It was wonderful to behold. I had never seen anything like it in my life. Different from in the video because there was no chance of snow hitting him because he was so tightly encased.

This is the exact thing that happened to me in Jan 2014, I was ten and broke my femur while skiing. Cant remember the faces of the ski-patrol, they might've had masks on though since it was cold as heck.

As someone who is retired and living in Florida. I can sleep well at night knowing at NO point in my life will I ever yell. "I NEED SKI PATROL!" But hope ya feel better dude.

I'm somewhat of a pro with breaking bones. I've broken my left femur 2 times within 3 years. For the people asking if broken bones hurt, i'd have rather given birth. 4 surgeries later and now a metal rod with screws for the rest of my life. Unless I decide to break it again. Not sure what the rod would do in that case. 🤔 Bend maybe?

Respect for the Ski Patrol Skiier who did all the leg work. Great kid, great effort. Strangers caring about strangers just hits me hard in the feels.

The thing with the insurances is infuriating instead of thinking about fixing my leg he is thinking how can i lower the cost of a broken leg procedure wow!!! like here in Greece we have free healthcare (we pay taxes for it) and the system may not be the best but you get everything for free as many x-rays as you have to make.

My partner went skiing in france when he was younger twisted his knee and it has bugged him ever since
