Judging by the size of the neck I'd say the diameter of the tambourine was around 10 inches or 25 cm.

its a 3 string cigar box guitar but fretted like a dulicimer i.e. diatonically
Hey cool. It sounds really good. I made one with almost the same tambourine as have. But after an hour part of the skin tore partly through the pins and the skin isn't stiff anymore. Was a cheap 10$ tambourine from ebay with natural skin. Same design as yours. So I replaced the tambourine with a tunable tambourine with a metal-ring holding the skin in place. My problem now is tuning this thing. I started tuning but the bridge pushes into the skin pretty heavy. Also it's hard to tune all strings because of the bridge pushing in the skin. I want to tune to DGBE. Chicago tuning. Specs are: 4 strings, 19 frets, 25inch scale, 10inch Sonor CGTT10P tambourine. I use Deering Tenor strings medium. 0.010, 0.016, 0.024, 0.030. Any advice on how to tune it? Is it normal that the skin pushes in to much?

10 inches I think, cuz I have a tambourine that seemed to be the same size as that one from the video.

Hi, I'm a big fan of your stuff. This tune single-handedly got me into playing slide on banjo. I've been using a tweaked version of the opening to this tune as the bridge in one of my originals. I was wondering if I could have your permission to upload it, since your tune inspired a part of it.

One question whien you put on the head and tacked on did you do that first before you diilled the wholes for the neck?
I tacked the skin on the bowl before cutting the hole for the neck.
