This power wash is fairly new; I bought it from a person who said it wouldn't start. After a short research, I suspected that the problem was with the carburetor, so I decided to remove it and have it analyzed. After the repair was completed, the power wash started up and cleaned my truck perfectly! This is part 1 of 2 videos.

Thank you this video was awesome
Thanks mate 2 minutes in you solved my problem. Mine wasn't retracting and I suspected the spring you pulled at 2 minutes was the culprit. Mines got a twist in it about halfway and I was pretty sure it's not supposed to have that. Seeing yours doesn't confirms it. Now to either replace the whole unit or get a spring if I can find it.
Thanks
Thanks a bunch for your video! Very helpful
I just replaced my fuel lines and filter on my 128ld... Does anyone know what the plastic fittings found at the bottom of the tank are for? Are they just for extra?
one goes on each line, just inside the tank. the bulb/purge line will end w/one inside the tank. the filter line will go- filter, line, connector on the inside of tank, line out of tank to carb. they're supposed to prevent the lines shaking loose during use
What is going the. Two litle nipple you take out. Please. Thanks
Which fuel line gets hooked back up where?
63k views but sub 600 likes. You people are doing this man an injustice
I laughed out loud at the spring.. great video thanks!!
Me to lol
You didn’t put the fuel line at the lowest point.. when you are holding it to weed eat the lowest point is the opposite side that you put it on…
What size Nut Driver and what size Star Bit did you use to dismantle?
First time viewer. It was a very good video, informative, easy to follow. thank you !!!!
Please tell me what type of tubing I need to get and I still don't understand where the fuel filter goes you didn't mention it.
You didn't show the fuel filter line the one I need.
Can I buy the hose and do it or is it better just to get the whole kit which was $30.
I can't believe this is going to be so hard I take a darn machine apart. This is when I wish I had a husband but no I'm 67 I'm going to have to do this myself because nobody will help me Lord have mercy!😢
Looks like for the 128ld you reversed the feed return lines. The feed line with the filter should feed through the hole furthest from the fill cap.
What part was you blowing in?
Great vid. Just saved me a ton of coin. Liked and subbed. Best to ya!
Whish you had been more clear were each fuel connected to the carb. Can we assume the inlet goes to the fitting next to the primer bulb?
GREAT video... BUT would have been a time saver if you showed a closer view of the two fuel lines from the fuel tank you replaced onto the carburetor... Thanks
Ours does not move on it's own as it should..what could that be.
great video, thanks!
Carb is $16 on Amazon. I needed gaskets and a primer bulb. Replaced and mine ran fine!
exactly the info i needed… many thanks!🙌
What diameter fuel line?? 😊
Great repair! How did you know it was the carburator that needed repair?
Great Video! NOW EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP USING ETHENOL GAS! It dries out an cracks all rubber lines. Creating an extremely lean condition, gas leaks, or complete fuel cut off from broken lines! Super unleaded only. Good sythentic premix and add a dash of seafoam to each can for longevity if your not going through a lot of premix gas on you small engines. Metal gas cans also help alot since plastic cans leach away octane...
I did this exact repair a couple weeks ago. Having a pair of offset needle nose pliers or the hemostats he used is key to replacing the fuel lines. I also used some dish soap to lube the outside of the lines. I didn't have any so I had to use a pick. I poked the line with the pick and was able to pull enough line out to get a pair of needle nose vise-grips to lock onto the line. That made it go faster, but not much. I also had to take the tank off. If I had the right tool, I don't think I would have needed to remove the tank.
Do you by chance remember what size nut driver and what size star bit you used to disassemble ? I was in the middle of replacing the fuel filter that's inside the gas tank and i accidentally pulled off the entire fuel line from inside the tank. Now I gotta get the right sized tools to dismantle.
@JNC1973 No, I don't. I have an assortment, and just picked from what I had. If I were to guess, it's probably a 20 or 25 torx.
Do you have the model number ? I need a manual for mine.
Do you happen to know the item number for the spring you were missing for the lever on the carburetor?
Best video for this exact repair. I installed the same aftermarket kit and it runs like new!
I noticed you left off the tiny Fuel Line Fitting that's attached to the primer line, it's vital to keep the primer tube in the tank. During prolong use the vibration will cause the line to work it's way out.
Good point. My trimmer has those fittings in both lines, not just the primer line. The only difference is you feed the lines from the inside of the tank up through the holels.
Took me 30 mins while watching this video and It worked perfectly , thanks!
Thank you
Thanks for the video. Its exactly whats wrong with mine. Replacement parts have been ordered. Merci beaucoup
Thanks. Your video was very helpful.
Ethanol will cause your fuel lines to become brittle. Always use ethanol free fuel in anything that uses a carburetor.
👍
Great video, thanks!
Thank you thank you thank you
nice video - but is it ok not to reinstall the nipples that connect the fuel lines through the gas tank holes ? Some videos say you should, some don't. The repair kit I bought had the nipples, but I'd prefer to do it like you showed.
Someone must have dropped it before they installed it??
1st! Husqvarna 125bv x-series leaf blower .
Oh well
Hi, Me again. After looking at some other "repair persons" I do not see the need to remove the fuel tank from the engine unit. You are the only one I watched who did that. They removed the carb, removed the old lines, washed out the fuel tank, inserted the new fuel lines, fed the line with the fuel filter down in the tank, hooked the lines to the carb lines and finished the assembly and fired it up. No one has made clear which connections the new lines hook to on the carb. ie., return line and suction line.
I believe he put just a bit of fuel in the tank and tilted it so that only the fuel filter was submerged, and not the return line. Then he tried pushing the purge bulb, at first it just sucked air, so he knew it was backwards, then he reversed it and got fuel, so he knew he had it on right.
@valos_cor7842 Yup. I'm replacing mine, and he got the supply and return lines switched when he replaced them.
I am about to do this and I think the only reason he removed the fuel tank was that he could show the insertion of the tubes better and it is easier with the tank removed. I don't think it is required. I was curious why he didn't replace that little white nipple (and I didn't know what they are for) but in this thread someone explained that is keeps the primer return line from working itself out of the tank.
Great video and GREAT HELP. You saved me the purchase of a good plastic tank that only needed the hose replacement. I purchased the hose and put in a new filter using your video. GRACIAS!
He doesn't explain. things very well.
excellent. The fuel line came off in the tank. Your camera angles are really good. A local farm store wanted $150 up front to work on it. My unit is not all that old. You have given me the "road map" to fix my unit. The farm store guy wasn't exactly truthful in his explanation. They sell Husquavarna and Echo products. Plus he had a 3 week waiting list. He does tire work in his "spare time"!!!!!!! Thank You. I have subscribed to your site and gave you a "hardy THUMBS UP".....
Great step by step, Thank you,
I have to position my unit just right and put a foot on it to have enough room to pull the cord and it’s just that hard to pull, like they didn’t size the rings and it have the compression of 4 units is it possible they didn’t size the rings cause other than that it has run well till this problem and I thought was the carb but now think it just needs a non Chinese plug
