The CC players they always get compensated by WOT. They always got 300 Xmas loots free/year and many other free gadgets. They always will buy those special tanks to make contents so they got more compensated.

@wotaddictglobal now they are selling free exp in form of gambling. Wow, just wow! WG is going crazy from the start of this year. I think the price of the next item in shop (black market) might be based on some ridiculous amount of free exp. Milking intensified so much that I'm expecting some rare tanks from past years (BZ-176 for example) to be on sale this year for some "great" price.

Sadly, it's true, and looking at people doing it, I'm more and more sure that EU should ban those kinds of practices in normal and online sales. No more loot boxes or "limited amounts" of virtual goods, because WG is not the only company using those shady practices (using human psychology against us) to boost their sales value. Blizzard selling "cosmetics" in Diablo or Warcraft games for +50 euros is the same kind of BS. Fun part in it is that "making" this good costed WG pennies. They had the model already, so all they needed to do was to pay some graphic designer from a Third World country some pennies to make new camo textures. Cost/Profit balance is crazy. And that is not the first time they are doing it, and for sure not the last. Most people don't understand one thing: Price of those virtual goods in premium shop is ridiculously high. They need to pay the programmer once to write everything into game programming language and graphics to make models and textures. That is one-time spending for WG. Maybe a couple of thousand dollars if they don't outsource it to some cheap labor country. All they earn from selling those goods is profit. Ok, they spend part of this profit for their employees and server maintenance, but that is not much compared to $$$ appearing on their bank account. BTW, this type of players response is one of the main reasons that we have tanks like BZ-176 or XM57 in game. You are willing to pay to get something OP and destroy game balance, WG provides. Simple supply/demand economy. Now I'm only wondering how long they can keep it up before their player base shrinks to an amount that can't pay for their yachts and apartments anymore. Ohh and servers too, but looking at the server error that prevented many players from even looking at that offer, they don't pay too much for them.

I agree with you that selling a tank for 100K gold is nothing more then milk the players dry. I didnt buy the WT because it felt like a scam. And its possible that WG is going to sell the tank again in the future for much less... so no worries.

FOMO is a huge driver of this. I stopped spending money on the game, other than for the added Battle Pass rewards in 2024. I didn't purchase any loot boxes in December for the first time in 5 years. I am much happier and have money in my pocket. When I first saw this, I was wondering how many they would actually have for sale. Out of curiosity, I finally managed to log in to the US server at 8:02 last night and all of them were gone. Wot's first S-tanks the players hated them worse then SPG's.. The abuse was rampant..
