Hello. Can you please define the Gospel and then share the different Gospel that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches?

Tim Alberta has an excellent book that addresses the problem of Christian nationalism in the United States. Christians in the United States have falsely adopted the belief that God has uniquely chosen the United States. They latch onto passages from the Old Testament speaking of the Biblical nation of Israel (not to be confused, as some do, with the secular modern nation of Israel) and apply them to the United States. The biggest problem Christian nationals have is Christ. Paul, the greatest Christian theologian and apologist, spoke clearly (and I am paraphrasing) that there is no Jew nor Gentile, no master nor slave, no male nor female in Christ's kingdom. To me, this says that no person or group of people are accorded special honors in Christ's kingdom. As Paul also states, "For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, . . . ." Romans: 3: 22-23 (ESV). So Americans are not favored by God. I do believe that people in the United States have been blessed. But we should not see that blessing as a reward for righteousness. Again, ALL fall short. Rather, we should take stock of Jesus' parable of the talents. To whom much is given, much will be expected. Christ is about loving God and neighbor. What a neighbor looks like is illustrated by the parable of the Good Samaritan. What love looks like is illustrated by I Corinthians 13.

Lord Jesus, Let love rain, like sweet mercy from heaven. Let mercy flow like waves and waves flowing richly from the heart of God. May love arise ... may mercy come forth ... may love and mercy bring forth hearts of compassion. Compassion for the lost, compassion for the thirsty, compassion for the hungry, compassion for the poor, compassion for the homeless, compassion for others. Not in just words or deeds done, but from the depths of the heart seeking to give Glory to God through open arms embracing the needs of others. May we look with the heart of God. May we see with his eyes or mercy and compassion and may we do all things to His Glory. For the river of God is love, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is sweet mercy, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is compassion, may they see it in our eyes, hear it from our hearts and see it through open arms embracing the needs of others. ------- May we place others before ourselves and love like Jesus.

I think many of us we're shocked that this man was elected into office as President. What's even more shocking that many Christian's still support this man that is not even close to being a moral figure and definitely no a "Christian"

Trump has said repeatedly over the years since the 1992 interview with Charlie Rose, that he loves to get revenge. He devoted a whole chapter to revenge in his 2005 book and in 2011 did a live real demonstration of getting revenge in front of an audience of thousands (Sydney, Australia). He not only practices revenge but also is an advocate for it to others. I think that many of his followers also love the idea of getting even. It didn't take much from Trump to convince his followers that God is on the side of patriotism which will, in turn, justify revenge and violence and hatred. My understanding of Christianity is that we are to be transformed from mere animals into His sons and daughters by trying to obey His command to love one another. We must forgive one another before we can love one another. Forgiveness is not optional. I see little evidence of forgiveness among these Christian Trump supporters.

If you notice that for half the video Pastor Bill's shirt string is stuck into his collar and it bothers you, he is aware, and it bothers him more. The dangers of an adorable 2 year old daughter :)
