Ive seen other people install this style of hood on the e92. They had to remove the factory air duct intake and some even cut the radiator support bar. It looks like you didnt have to on your install. Is the vent placed back farther on your hood?

I did this a couple of years ago. I did not have to lower the sub frame even though it was a really tight squeeze I did have a hard time with the v-band clamp though but got through it. It took the better part of a night of fighting with it but next got it done. Made a big difference and! You can tell the turbo is much happier once this mod is done!!
