Strangely enough, it seems to be not faster than the 50 cc versions I drove back in the 1970's. The 50 Miles per hour aren't even reached here. But above all, please, blip the throttle when shifting down, and wait a second before releasing the lever when shifting up ! The automatic clutch weights a ton and add an huge flywheel effect one must deal with carefully. It could even end up with a fall off on a wet road; this bike is not an easy to drive one.

Please wear gloves when riding. First thing that hit the tarmac if you come off fella

Ah yes. The Townmate and behind is a Honda Innova ANF125. Hundreds of them were sold here in Greece. The Yamaha is proven to be one of the toughest and the most reliable motorbikes ever made (along with the Honda C50). The ANF125 is also a good bike, provided that you take care of its engine. The piston rods were prone to being damaged. Later models (ANF125 PGM-FI) had this issue fixed.

You got a nice bit of speed up there on the straights.

All well & good but what was the top speed ,I would say as a guess it is about 45 mph on long flat & about 53 mph down a long sloping straight with a wind behind you on clock on a good day .The genuine top speed will be about 4 - 7 mph less than stated on clock .You can’t beat a good old bimble on a cub type moped 👍
