Praying for those affected by Hurricane Helene
So how do you tell a difference between praying to yourself or praying to a god? I used to think that I was praying to God but I'm fairly certain I was just praying to myself. Also why would God answer any sort of prayer? Wouldn't that be going against free will?

Statistically prayers have been proven not to do anything... it's your actions that will speak louder than your words... prayers are empty and we'll do nothing. You are talking to yourself.
@@Dez083 Divine help is needed for our strength to do stuff. Prayer isn’t asking God to be a genie but to help us as humans to have the courage and strength to do stuff. Evidence is shown. You can always deny God in the comments and if that’s your goal then great but we won’t agree on any of these debates.
@@FearlessEthan the issue i have is people from all different religions are claiming the same thing? So is god helping them as well? Also is it not possible to have the courage and strength from within ourselves? Plenty of people do it without asking gods assistance...i guess some people cannot do it themselves and need god. But wouldnt that be going against free will?

@@Dez083 Obvisouly yes we can do stuff, we’re blessed with the things we have physical, material, monetary etc. But God wants to help us just that much more. For the multiple religions, I am making a series on this, but people like Cliff & Stuart knecthle explain it much better. Jesus is the one true God. Muhammad, dead, Buddha Dead, Jesus alive.
@@Dez083 Millions of people alive from comas by prayer when doctors said they couldn’t factually or scientifically. The woman even in NC when her 7 year old son passed was praising God and said he had joy. With her own rescue story of the prayer miraculously. Not even a materialistic thing but emotionally as well for people, It’s not a psychological thing, it’s a spiritual thing.
And yet 700 children di e every hour on the hour under the age of 5 from starvation and disease... and I'm pretty sure I've asked you this before why should I care what's written in the Bible? Obviously something has convinced you to trust the Bible, why dony you care whars written in The Book of Mormon or the Quran?

Amen brother, keep preaching that we are ONLY saved by Jesus Christ. ALL our works are but filthy rags, even at their best. AND that we should ONLY pray/praise to god. The angel in revelations emphasized it to john when he praised the angel for showing him the end times. ONLY praise god and NEVER anyone else. Not mary, not joseph, nobody. We are all filthy, but through christ's blood we are made clean. Trying to justify works is the same as turning away from Christ's blood (denying him/what he did for us)

Because God could be around but has decided not to interact and hide from us.

Doing great brother, keep going! Just a couple of things to point out, and may it deepen your faith/ studies. Im also studying more about Paul and his steadfastness. 1. I dont believe the prosperity gospel either, but God can give you an abundance to further his kingdom and help those who are oppressed. Money is a tool, a resource that can go a very long way. If it's in his will, he will give you more than you think you deserve. Just dont fall like King Solomon did! 2. We should never be stuck in discord with one another over politics but pray against the darkness and those who are in those high places. Our governors, mayors, presidents. They're surely influenced by darker spirits, but they have no authority over us unless we give it. Ephesians 6:12 Even more of a rabbit hole when you study what powers, principalities, and rulers really are. They work for the fallen one. That's who you pray against, everywhere you go. Any ideology of religion that you were born around will always make more sense to you, try exploring other religions, philosophers, there is so much out there that is way more helpful
