how are the gameday titles decided (sideline sweetheart, gameday girl, social media takeover)? is it decided by the staff or is it voted by the team like pro bowl?
Hi ladies! Loving this podcast ❤ Are either of you currently open to training/guiding DCC hopefuls for auditions next year? I’m a local 29yr old training for May auditions and would love to connect. If not, any assistance in the right direction would be much appreciated 🫶🏽
this may be too tmi of a question, but what do yall do during that time of the month wearing such short white shorts during the games?
What are the requirements to be an All Star? Also, did you want to be an All Star? Thank you and love your UA-cam channel!!!!💙💙💙
The guy with the iguana didn’t really want to have a photo taken. He was using that as an excuse to frighten and humiliate some Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. It was a classic maneuver of a bully, trying to make himself feel superior. I’m glad you didn’t give him the satisfaction of appearing upset or terrorized.
Keep it up! love listening to you girls
Did Netflix play a part in having a slower season as compared to ur rookie season that had no filming?
Loving the commentary! As an aside, went to Simone’s gymnastics tour while she was in California and it was highly entertaining :) 100% recommend going!
Super great stories! Love it! 👏🙌🎉
Anisha is my orthodontist and I’ve taken a few classes with her. She is a ball of light and extremely talented. I found it hard to believe she would have still been cut had she been from a different cultural/ethnic group.
Y’all are so real for this
The highlight of my week!
Hi Kally & Zhena, What is the biggest takeaway or teaching moment that you have learned throughout your evolvement with DCC?
Insane you guys are not paid properly, and how is this not a full time job???? So many hours of practice, hair, makeup off the clock.
Thank y'all for being so honest. Charlotte justifying paying y'all so little was a bit painful to watch. I danced a large amount of my life and almost pursued it professionally. The commitment, blood, sweat tears and MONEY you invest into the craft is equally as much if not more as it takes to play professional football. Saying you come to DCC to find your purpose is wild to me. But it is what it is. I just hope you both know how much I and many others loved seeing you on the team. Even if you weren't showcased as much as you should have been I personally will never forget seeing a strong black woman with natural hair on the field and a woman who was brutally injured go for her dreams with all the odds against her (the personification of strength). Kudos to the both of you!
Yall really should have way more subs what the heck!!! 😮😮😮😮
DCC just seems like an inhumane organization. I understand having a dream and wanting to accomplish it but how that dream is for such a horrible place is beyond me.
Im going Office Space on that drone if ot hurts me or a teammate
I can really hear the project manager in Zhenya when she's discussing learning the dances last minute. The drone story was crazy tho.
The organization sounds super toxic.
I love the discussion around personalities and culture in the beginning!
better audio plssssssss
@@laylaw4745 Working on it!!
I love hearing your perspectives on this whole situation! It was really great to get a perspective from people who were there and people with so much empathy for Victoria. I would love to hear your thoughts on the training camp process, I often wonder how necessary it is to make cuts etc. throughout the process? (would it be better to just take in 36 from auditions and train them as a team from the start?) I am thinking about it from the perspective of the girls who choose to move and then don't make it? Also, how do you feel about being referred to as girls instead of women/ladies and the yes-mam stuff? (I'm not from the USA so to me it can come across as infantilising but I'd love to hear your perspectives!)
The way I’ve been feigning for my boot buddy fix lol. I was like it’s been over a week, where’d they go? 🤣
Thanks for tuning in 😊
Lovely!
Going deep on this one ☝️🎉 love it! It’s always great to gain understanding from peeling the layers. I enjoy both of your expressed insights. Keep it up girls 🙌👏
Love both of your fits, need details please!❤
Interesting to hear from people who were actually in the room. Netflix is like watching a 5 min clip from a 2 hour movie and thinking you know the real story.
Thank you for sharing your story about your grandma Zhenya. I am so happy to know she was able to end up coming to see you perform because the amount of time and MONEY y'all spend just to be there (in the dcc room) is insane! Watching this podcast has given me a whole new respect for you and all pro cheerleaders.
Hey I’m the first comment I love the podcast type video also I like that you are giving us the inside scoop of the doc
idk if it's the netflix quality, but Zhenya definitele looks better with the warmer blonde <3
Can Zhenya share with us what song she was about do for her solo by Abba? Now I REALLY want to hear it please!
FABULOUS episode! I love this podcast so much because hearing your thoughts and opinions about what was really going on behind the scenes is so refreshing. I don't think many girls can be as honest as you both are because they are still on the team. Thank you Thank you!!!
They should treat it like a full-time job. So that you can properly get the rest that you need, dancers in the moulin rouge or the Rockettes can dedicate all of their time to the job during the season, since so much is being asked of you they should give you the space/time to recover and therefore they will create less injuries.
Yes! I hate the euphemisms, call it what it is so that it can be dealt with! I really appreciate these conversations. I think the toll that this seems to take on the health of the girls is crazy. It's too much to ask of people that are not being compensated fairly
Really love and appreciate the honesty! I feel like it's so fresh to hear your perspectives, especially on diversity and different ages etc.
I’ve been stereotyped as stuck up so many times because I’m just an introvert and honestly an anxious person in a lot of ways. I’ve always wished to be more of a social butterfly but some of us just aren’t wired to be one.
Love these real & honest conversations, really makes you guys seem relatable …
Do all the new girls in training live with an alumni ?
I love Chow, he is so perfect and cute.
these videos genuinely make my day EVERY.TIME. u girls are such an inspiration not even just because of dcc ❤️
Enjoying this look behind the scenes. I was surprised you’re not given, and it seems even discouraged from asking for, more feedback. How do you improve and know where you stand? The other thing that really surprised me was you’re left sitting for long periods of time before dancing. That just seems crazy for any athlete where injuries are your worst enemy. I assumed being properly warmed up and also strength conditioning would just be built into your paid schedule as a matter of course. When management basically said we don’t pay them much because they don’t do it for the money I was floored. Such a cop-out. Anyway, I’m loving your discussions.
Love the mention on a lack of diversity. In looking at diversity, as far as race is considered, we don’t see enough AA, Asian, Hispanic, etc. ladies on this team. In Texas or not, being known as America’s Sweethearts but not representing the melting pot that this country is is a disservice to the organization itself. The best year so far of DCC was when Kally, Kayla, Kelee, Darian, Ashlee, Jada, Kat, Chandi, Tyra, & Elli were on the team. A fourth of the team represented by talented, strong young women of color, i.e. Black (of African descent) &/or Latinx (Im assuming Elli’s ethnicity, and my sincerest apologies if I’m wrong) was empowering to see. In the future, I would love to see more hopefuls like former DCCs Yuko and Joanna. Arisha would have been superb as a DCC and I hope that her appearance on this show will encourage others who are Indian or of Indian descent to work hard and audition. Representation matters. As a Ghanaian American, seeing Kally, Kelee, Jackie Bob, Tia, Mia Greenhouse, and the legendary Nicole Hamilton feeds my delusions of being a DCC despite not having stretched in years! 😂 And it will fuel the dreams of other little girls and hopefuls if they can see the results of hard work put in by someone who looks just like them 😊 Thanks for being so open about your journeys as DCC, & keep up the momentum ladies! This is awesome to watch and I love the insight 💙
when you talked about the lack of diversity of colour in teams I think that too. I am the only black woman in my dance school that goes to championship. And every year when they want to do something with their hair they don't think about what is possible for my type of hair. but only what looks good on straight hair. sometimes they don't even ask for my opinion if it is possible on my hair so they just decide. I know I should stand up for myself but I say It every year I mean they should probably remember that. so I thank you very much for speaking about it xxx Naomie (17)
Did you guys have as many guest choreographers visit during your rookie year? Also, it sounds like you’re left guessing whether they like you are not. Are you given feedback about where you stand weekly or people are just cut without really knowing they aren’t doing well until the end?
what a great duo!! so glad to get to know you and your stories more since your rookie class was barely shown 😢
I would love to hear y'alls thoughts on: What would be a good schedule/routine for conditioning the body to be strong throughout the season while continuing dance practice?
❤❤❤ love the honesty you share!!! Can't wait for upcoming episodes l
Love your honest perspective. What made you decide to retire this year? You both look great in the field!
Are the cheerleaders paid to be in the Netflix documentary ?
