    ua-cam.com/video/YYSYFEgHD30/v-deo.htmlsi=SOlZA7VSejliFp2w Newly retired elementary school teacher 15000RMB. Only people retired earlier at 70s having less, despite there's increase each year. It's impossible that teachers in Shanghai only make 5k. Avg Shanghinese salary are now at 13k RMB, Google youself. Sometimes it says 5k, but there are many allowances over the top. My neighews at 30s, both making over 10k. They're not even tech. Personal. Teachers considered public servant, which normally have high pension.

  • @fenxian
    @fenxian 4 дні тому

    Are you supposed to be covered by portion of medical bill like Chinese do bc you do pay tax? Chinese men retired at 60 years old. Will you be entitled of retirement payment when you come to that age? You know retired teacher have high pension in China.

    • @collyslifeadventureinchina
      @collyslifeadventureinchina 4 дні тому

      My company buys us Chinese social insurance, so yes, my medical is covered to a certain extent. Foreigners can also choose to buy a way more expensive private plan if they wish to. I'm happy with my insurance. Yes, because I pay taxes, I pay into a retirement pension fund. I can choose to retire in China, or if I leave before the retirement age, I can withdraw a substantial amount that I contributed to and go elsewhere.

    • @fenxian
      @fenxian 4 дні тому

      Good for you! Do you know Chinese after retire still can receive pension living in abroad, same amount? Not like retired Canadian living abroad, you will be cut substantial amount. So it's up to you either withdrawal earlier or receive same pension amount living anywhere else. Retired teacher now in not tier 1 city can easily get over 10,000RMB, some approaching 20,000RMB. Many Chinese after retired, living with their Children in Canada, still receive same pension in China, not subject to be scrutinized each year from China Government. It's said if you leave China earlier, you just need keep your security #, come back later claim pension before leaving again.

    • @collyslifeadventureinchina
      @collyslifeadventureinchina 4 дні тому

      @@fenxian There are so many factors. I believe Chinese can still receive a pension as long as they hold onto a Chinese ID card. I am not sure if they need to give up the ID card if they get PR or only if they get citizenship. For Canadians it also depends on if its the government pension or a pension from a Job. A pension from your job must always be paid but the Canadian government pension is what will get drastically cut if you are abroad. I am not sure about the amount for the chinese pension for teachers. The average salary for chinese people is 4-5K in a tier one, so I doubt it will be 10k-20k, but that would be nice. I just know some teachers left after years of working and withdrew over 100k rmb.

    • @fenxian
      @fenxian 4 дні тому

      No. Teacher salary very easily get over 10000RMB, 5k probably rural area, but I never heard of. In China Teacher position had significantly changed past decades. What I know retiree Chinese in Canada still get same pension amount, no matter with PR ID or not. Some even already Canadian citizens, that mean they had to giving up PR citizenship (Chinese ID). One thing I'm not sure whether depend on your school's status (private or public) when come to pension amount. It's also possible for Chinese getting pension higher than before retirement.

    • @collyslifeadventureinchina
      @collyslifeadventureinchina 4 дні тому

      @@fenxian Private or public should not matter as you pay tax and are into the same pension plan. Chinese local teachers get paid around 4-6k at private and public schools, so it doesn't make sense that they will get even more when they retire. Foreigners get paid more so they get taxed more. Most chinese teachers dont even get taxed as they dont make enough to break the tax threshold. Ill have to ask some of my co-workers tomorrow along with some of my previous co workers who now work in the public schools.

      @@remitemmos9165 There are a few factors. If you are married to a Chinese national, then the government school costs next to nothing. If not, you still need to pay a small amount. If you don't want a government school, the next level up is a private school, and if you want the top level of education, there are international schools, which do cost a lot. The good thing for teachers is they can usually work at their kid's school and get free tuition. If you are not a teacher, I hope you have a great job or work for a fantastic company that can afford you the lifestyle to provide for your kid. It was a nightmare when I lived in Vietnam! The fees ranged from $15-45! I'm an American educator with 12 years of international teaching experience. I currently tutor students privately online. Much obliged! Also, what are the classrooms like? Do they use AC in summer and proper heating in winter? Sadly, I ask because in Vietnam, they believed too much AC was bad for your health. We were sweating like pigs and one woman nearly passed out! Thank you for taking the time to answer. I have friends living in Jersey, and I have visited it. Can't even compare the two. The crime in Jersey sucks, and the living conditions are not all that great unless you come from money. I save a lot more money monthly in Guangzhou than most people working in New Jersey. You should take a trip over to China, and you will see that you have no clue. Patriotism is one thing, but ignorance is another.

      @@TomSantinoCorleone , There are positives and negatives in most countries. I have the freedom to do pretty much anything I want. I feel more free in China than in Canada. I could move to a handful of countries any time I like. Until you've actually spent time here, you don't really understand. You only know what you experience.

      @@collyslifeadventureinchina Can you make a UA-cam video, about some of the things wrong with China & its government,? I know you won’t though, you will be in big trouble, if you talk out against the government. That is not a free & respectable country. please be safe brother

      , I won't because I am not a political channel. If I were in America and made a video about the things wrong with the country and its leaders, what good would it do as well? If any immigrant is going to complain about the country, then maybe they should return to their own country. I'll give up the ability to talk politically about a country to, in return, live in a place where my wife and children can walk down the street by themselves at any time of day or night, have a better cost of living, less overall crime, and be next to addicts running around. But once again, you need to have lived in multiple countries to understand.

    This is an awesome guide thanks man. Would you recommend working at an International school or Kindy? Which is preferred in your opinion

    • @collyslifeadventureinchina
      @collyslifeadventureinchina Місяць тому

      So it depends on what you are looking for personally. Kindergartens seem to have less overall work and a relaxed environment. The main thing when working at a kindergarten is that you should have the energy to be goofy or act like a WWE superstar and have patience while working with young kids. Kindergartens also usually allow your kids to attend for a really good price. International schools tend to pay just a little more but you have more meetings, more overall work, better benefits and longer holidays.
