The First Hand tier receives a thank you AND grants access to all of the handouts, and the Draper tier receives all of the above plus 30 minutes of private tutoring each month. does this work with knit garments as well?

    • @digitaldressmaker

      Yes, it will! You will generally use 0" ease and a modern sleeve cap height for knit garments.

  • @nicholasgarcia241
    @nicholasgarcia241 Місяць тому

    Why do you need the avatar height?

    • @digitaldressmaker
      @digitaldressmaker Місяць тому

      The Sartor System of drafting menswear (which this tutorial is based off of) uses the height measurement to determine a balanced proportion of the body. Although this means that some height proportions may not align to every individual height measurement, typically one just needs to make small adjustments to get a pleasing and flattering overall fit.

    Hello, thanks for the video! Which type of simulation do you use in for garment creation? There is a "accurate fabric" simulation and "normal" basic one.

    • @digitaldressmaker
      @digitaldressmaker 5 місяців тому

      Hello! I use "normal" simulation when I am first drafting my pattern and only use "accurate fabric" when checking fit, rendering, or exporting as a model for use in another 3D program. Essentially, I switch back and forth between the two, because although "accurate fit" is more accurate, it requires more computational power and ultimately slows down my process. Hope that helps!

    Well explained about content but didn't find detail about Sleeve and Armhole co-ordination. How is the sleeve cap in sleeve drafted according to armhole shape of bodice with regard to both shape and size. I measn how to draw the Sleeve Cap and Armhole so that the "shape & size of Sleeve cap" exactly matches with "shape & size of Armhole".I have been watching so many videos to understand this but couldn't find this detail explained anywhere. Plz explain through another new video where you can draw the Armhole in bodice and a Sleeve cap in sleeve and show how the shape and size can be matched.
