    The M&M always reminded me of an old pair of work boots. Worn in..comfortable...familiar. Dread the day when that pair of boots serve their last step. Hopefully this new M&M will wear in with time and provide that same feeling to the residence of Butte.

    Why are you trying to blow this place up and monetize it. If you had any respect for it, you’d keep quiet about it.

    • @cascadepro
      @cascadepro 5 місяців тому

      For your information, I don’t earn a single cent from any of my videos. I’m trying to share my respect for it, so that others who discover it might also have that respect. People are going to find it anyway, with or without me. Also, I make these videos because I enjoy it. If I wanted money from it, I would have pitched it to a streaming service or a tv channel.

    That thumbnail is crazy man. I looked at it for like 5 seconds before I realized it was me. Then I spent the next two minutes trying to figure out where the hell it was before realizing that that was my house. And then I couldn’t figure out why I looked like I was ducking under my garage door. Good choice Alex 👍🏿

    Thank you. I enjoyed this. Id only say less 'dramatic' music throughout (only needed for the mine tragedy...if at all) & the volume of music a tad lower. Beautiful Butte 💚

    The Bob Marshall Wilderness and no views of the famous Chinese Wall?

    • @cascadepro
      @cascadepro 8 місяців тому

      Hi! Thanks for watching! The point of this series is to highlight things that are less known and less famous. This is to show how big these places are. The Bob Marshall Wilderness is not just the Chinese Wall, but a 1.5 million acre wilderness area, of which the Chinese Wall is about 10,000 acres. With that said, there is one sequence with a shot of the Chinese Wall towards the end of the documentary to show how large of a place it is.

    Great mountain I have climbed it a few times👍Not sure about the 5 .7. I've seen it listed between fourth class and 5.3

    • @cascadepro
      @cascadepro 8 місяців тому

      Easily my favorite peak I have done. I will always remember that day. I’ve only ever seen it listed as a 5.7. I believe there was a rockfall a few years ago that may have made it more technical. I definitely didn’t want to climb it unprotected. But the alternative route we found is class four, maybe low class five.

    • @SkiSkillsMontana
      @SkiSkillsMontana 8 місяців тому

      @cascadepro looking back at some info, different climbers and guidebooks have rated this climb from class 3, up to and including 5.7. It's definitely not a 3, lol. I looked at some of your other videos. I have been through nearly all of the same places 👍 I've got a few recommendations you might be interested in. Grand Teton, Gannett Peak, and Mt Rainier are a few. At your skill level, they should all be possible.

    • @cascadepro
      @cascadepro 8 місяців тому

      @@SkiSkillsMontanathanks for the recommendations! Gannett and Rainier are definitely two I’ve really considered climbing next year. I have also considered Grand Teton, although I think that’ll be a in few years.

    Aeneas.... Yes. Sat atop Aeneas with 14 goats one early morning in 2004.. I hit the trail at sunrise and made it to Aeneas summit just as the sun was warming things up. As I sat looking toward Hungry Horse Reservoir, the goats started to arrive. 14 of them. What a morning.....
