I love how one saturday morning stood out from other blocks at the time by not only introducing creator driven cartoons to the mouse house, but they also have interstitials that fit the theme of one saturday morning They even have sketches which other blocks didnt have at this time
It was all about keeping the traditional educational bumpers that ABC was known for but giving it a modern edge. We truly didn't know how great we had it.
Excellent when commercials were better than now same old garbage insurance or smoking prevention or something stupider than that then the commercial in 1999 were better
7:02, That episode of Full House actually dealt with a very serious issue. The episode is called "Silence is Not Golden" and it aired in 1993. The boy in the episode is named Charles, and the reason why he's so insulting is because he has an abusive father. Stephanie promises not to tell anyone, but eventually tells her uncle Jesse, who then reports it to child services. Stephanie feels guilty for telling, but Jesse informs her that she did the right thing.
@@CanadaDragon1 I remember that episode!
Yeah, it's weird they promoted it that way.

Please.
@@raymondkim8887 So I don't think I have KCET, but I have a LOT of PBS footage coming in September in honor of the "back to school" season. I may have some more next year too. It'll include some PTV Park stuff.
@aaronsarchive82 If I remember correctly, back in 1998, there was the PTV Park promo for Shining Time Station on KCET with the extended theme song music video in it during one of the program breaks (the footage plays different clips from seasons 2 and 3 with Thomas story episodes). It was wonderful. I think it's from after an old rerun of Barney entitled If The Shoe Fits.... from season 3 before The Puzzle Place. Maybe one of the subscriptions can try to upload that like maybe James The PBS Kid or any other subscription. Watching the KCET Kids Club pledge breaks through the years are interesting to watch.

From Nickelodeon Doug to Disney's Doug.... I'm surprised Doug wasn't created by Warner Bros or DIC
@@damienchance2622 I understand what you're getting at. Doug jumped networks instead of being a syndicated program that could be on multiple networks at once like Looney Tunes or Inspector Gadget. It's just sad that Doug isn't marketed more nowadays. Disney gave him a Funko Pop but that's about it.

Wow
Out of all the Kid's WB shows, I can't say I'm a fan of "Detention". I loathe it (As well as "Freakazoid", "Histeria!", "Generation O" and "Phantom Investigators".), found it boring, stereotypical and it doesn't help that it was developed by Julie McNally Cahill & Tim Cahill, the same clowns who created "My Gym Partner's a Monkey" -- the worst CN original ever created.
@@TheRareware64 I can see how in retrospect, it does kind of look that way. (Miss Kiskillya's design strongly reminds me of the Queen of Hearts.) But at the time, this was a huge deal for WB Animation. They never made "slice of school life" shows before. Even if they ran the same 13 episodes over and over for 2 years, it was something different. And having a Goth girl like Shireena Wickett as the main character wasn't very common at the time.
@@aaronsarchive82 Okay, I didn't say what I said to be a dick; just giving my two cents.
